1500 Reading tickets sold

A 20K crowd would be good but don't expect too much atmosphere from their fans. I don't think I've ever seen them generate one and that includes a few games I watched when they were in the Prem. Hopefully we will beat them and they'll be extra quiet on Saturday! 😂

I would have thought that those making the journey down there would have got their tickets by now. Doubt we will shift another 500 in another day. Still a great effort 👍

Been in the club shop this morning. They've been trying hard to get more coaches but no luck. 4th coach now full. Gutted I can't make it as should be a great atmosphere 😪

Love to have gone but no train station near the stadium and a 40 minute bus from the station to the ground. Sod that

There a new station opened called Reading Green Park. It's on the line from Reading to Basingstoke and is about 25 mins walk (or wheel) to the ground. You'll have to forgive me - I don't know what is considered a long way in a chair.

If say, 1800 are going, that'll be around 1600 travelling without the discount.

That's a very good turnout for a 12.30 KO, 4 hours each way, and a slim chance of the play-offs.

Every credit.

Reading brought a pitiful following to our place for a 3pm K.O in september.

it's only 1 mile from Reading Green Park. Google maps doesn't show the shortcuts. Onthego map is the best website and it says about 0.95 mile direct to the away end which is about 15 mins for me.

Last time I was at Reading, one of my grandsons played for their academy, I had a chicken balti pie, one of the best pies I’ve ever had. If they still have them, give them a try.

Have we had a final figure? Was the 2k reached. After the season we've had then that would be a good result.

There are buses at the station to go the direct to the ground
Lots of them too, both ways. It's by far the best of the out of town stadiums in that regard. Not like Chesterfield, or Shrewsbury, where they seem to make it as hard as possible for away fans to get there.

Well it will make a change to see someone get off at Reading Green Park station including me.

Brand new station designed for the offices round there. Opening unfortunately coincided with the move to working from home.

To be fair, I am retired so I don’t pass through at the morning “peak” but it looks a lot of money spent for very little return.

When you think of the piss poor railway services elsewhere it doesn’t seem a value for money spend.

Fans need to get their facts right before spouting it ain't a fiver increase.

The game was discounted for our Season Ticket holders by £5 that privilege rightly so,goes if you POG.

I think you might be surprised. Been pretty decent the last 2-3 seasons and we have been on a downer for most of that . Actually since the playoff defeat in 2017

Hopefully it will be a decent atmosphere, it's something I level at most clubs with soulless stadiums in the middle of nowhere. I genuinely hope you get new owners, having lived in West Berkshire for 18 years I worked with a few Reading fans.
