Not great, but if you add Coulson, Byers and Rhodes to it, there’s not as much work to be done as people are making out. What I think we need.

2 centre backs
2 wing backs (specific to Critchley’s 3-5-2 bollocks)
A decent holding midfielder cos Norburn is wank
2 creative midfielders
A striker. Be it Rhodes or someone elder

So, 8 players. A sizeable rebuild but not a complete overhaul as some are saying. We only missed out by 3 points. As much moaning as I do on here and Twitter I honestly believe we’re not a million miles away from the top 6.

I don’t buy for a second Sadler isn’t interested. He backed Critchley last season and Critchley failed. Hopefully Simon will back him again and Critchley will learn from his mistakes
 
Agreed, the squads in a better place now than where it was this time last Summer (not saying much I know), but there’s still a minor rebuild needed, 8/9 players needed, but that’s par for the course with every football club during the Summer window nowadays.

No it’s not. We had Yates. The players we have are not good enough to achieve promotion. The numbers we need on will ensure we will lose points bedding players in. Let’s hope for decisive and quality this year.

fair Joe. I used to be shall we say anti Sonny but think when he came back in towards end of the season he was one of our better performers and expect him to kick on again next season

Same tbh. Had a good end to the season. Amazing what a run of games can do for a players confidence

* I just think it’s worth persisting with Norburn. He was shite this season. But I maybe think his debut where he was our best player, played some beautiful passes maybe miss led us into thinking he was a different player to what he actually is. For example I think if we’d have seen more of a Byers, Norburn with Carey / Dembele in front, it may have been a more effective use of him. That may also be codswallop, and he is just actually not very good. But I’m willing to give benefit of the doubt.

** if CJ is confident and sticks to what he’s good at he’s one of the most effective weapons in this division. When he doesn’t stick to what he’s good at, we play with 10. Id maybe like to see us sign someone else in the CJ mould to send a rocket up his arse. Maybe Apter might do that.

I think recruitment this summer is massive as it’s the spine of the team needed like a strong commanding CB, a clone of Kenny Dougall and well.. the actual Jerry Yates..

We have a good young left back who has never been given a chance. We have Apter, Gabriel, Lyons, Carey & Casey. Unfortunately we have Critchley
 
People should wait and see what Finnigan has to offer before wanting this or that. This lad started very well at Shrewsbury, there Manager at the time said he would be a big loss due to his injury.
 
For me, two strikers and two defenders are top of the shopping list with a proper Captain in there as well.
Personally would not be too upset if we fail to meet Hubby's demands.
 
We need to replace Marv and Byers, and we need two better strikers than those we've got. We're also very short down the left side without Hubby and Coulson. And we need an upgrade on CJ.
