Is it the loze Rose of lytham YMCA in the Gazette
Not seen this but I'm not liking what I'm hearing from the above posts.
He was the main man in the LSA YMCA football section for years.
What on earth are you going on about?Lozz Rose gave his whole time and energy to the YMCA and Children's football in the Fylde.
it's total bollox (or just bitterness & jealousy of the YM) that there was ever anything said about him in this way at anytime over the years.
I know guys who worked with him at the YM, were in his football team and were managers of other age groups at the same time.....
I know many were shocked at what happened......and for that Lozz lost his job and a major part of his life.....and reputation.
There's no way to defend what happened and to even say I feel sorry for him may cause some of you to have a go at me.
But I always found him to be a decent man.......all but one who made a very poor mistake.
The problem has always been with predators is the admission of guilt and some misguided sense of injustice, as we saw with say Harris and Hall.He is even denying he did anything wrong!
I and many others had been put in significant danger by this man in our childhood thankfully, so far as we know, we had a lucky escape
Agreed. Hopefully as time moves on this crime becomes a thing of the past. The problem has always been with predators is the admission of guilt and some misguided sense of injustice, as we saw with say Harris and Hall.
The telling thing here is that he had his computer destroyed but we don't really know the depths he sank to, and it's likely any victims just want to ignore it and not allow their lives to be wrecked.
There's been enough stuff floating around to suggest this form of abuse was commonplace in football circles, where thankfully we've now got guidelines and rules to protect young people.
Nonce defender ... weirdLozz Rose gave his whole time and energy to the YMCA and Children's football in the Fylde.

Don't ever wonder why anyone in future disregards anything you ever put on here after that utter bollux you just posted.Lozz Rose gave his whole time and energy to the YMCA and Children's football in the Fylde.

His perhaps misguided defence is no reason to disregard every point of view he holds. That is bollux.Don't ever wonder why anyone in future disregards anything you ever put on here after that utter bollux you just posted.
Not everyone is quite as open minded as you then. However, some will ignore and some won't....and it would be no surprise to me if it's the latter (as I was simply pointing out to the OP......and I said 'anyone' NOT 'everyone')His perhaps misguided defence is no reason to disregard every point of view he holds. That is bollux.
It isn't a matter of open-mindedness. It's a question of whether we should totally dismiss an individual for expressing what we might regard as an objectionable opinion. I don't agree with yours, but it would be infantile, simplistic and destructive to reject every other view you hold on that basis alone, wouldn't it?Not everyone is quite as open minded as you then. What a top guy Dave Lean is. I was heart broken for him when it came out a few years ago.Anyone who played football at the YMCA in the 1980's will know Lozz. I went on several of the summer camps to Lakeside.
Also if anyone remembers David Lean, he has wide documentation about being abused as a child within football surrounding. He played at YMCA too.
Honestly can’t believe I’ve just read that, it’s not a very poor mistake.Lozz Rose gave his whole time and energy to the YMCA and Children's football in the Fylde.

I agree with some of the things you say there pal as I too have know Lozz for many years, and as far as I am aware there has never previously been a hint of this, HOWEVER.......the fact remains that for whatever reason, firstly the police decided to target him in a classic sting operation where an officer goes online and pretends to be a child aged 12.Lozz Rose gave his whole time and energy to the YMCA and Children's football in the Fylde.

Your post is absolutely terrible in every regard. I genuinely struggle to believe you typed that up and sent it.Lozz Rose gave his whole time and energy to the YMCA and Children's football in the Fylde.
