Sunderland sack manager

8th in the league but have had a drastic 3 game winless blip. What chance has anyone got there? Must be losing tens of thousands by the week. As you say.. absolute carcrash of a club. A club that can regularly pull in 30,000 plus when doing ok. should never find themselves in this position. Mismanagement , complacency , greed and arrogance

Win their game in hand and they’re third. What do they actually want.

Is Stuart Donald still in charge of the club? Absolutely fooking clueless about running a club, that yuppie he had as chief exec on the Sunderland till I die documentary was just embarrassing.

Delusions of grandeur.

I don't know what it is, but managers come and go like buses in Sunderland and no one seems able to get the job done.

True and there's a sense of entitlement with the their fans particularly with Newcastle doing reasonably well in the PL.

Saw on the documentary that all they wanted to do was get the biggest gate for a L1 home match at the time, which sort of sums up their arrogant mentality.

They have been trying to sell the club for absolutely ages. Obviously overpriced and wouldn't be surprised if they end up in administration

They have the least amount of losses in the division.

Absolutrly bizarre, surely this will be detrimental and possibly another year in League One for them

2 losses out of 13 but, from their fan’s perspective, it’s the number of draws both Parkinson and Jack Ross presided over. You suspect the only way any manager will get to 2 successive Christmases is if they are 10 points clear at the top.

Fickle bunch, some of our "supporters" would have NC sacked before the recent upturn, others still would have on the final whistle at the Keepmoat.

When owners are worried about popularity rather that have the courage to back their appointments then they are doomed to failure

I have 6 lads under 30 working for me on a project - all come from traditional Sunderland supporting villages, not one of them supports the Mackems. The club is in free fall. Pissed off mind you being asked what league Blackpool are in and comments about Oyston.

Have any Blunderland fans been on social media yet speaking about the Cup win in '73? Its their last refuge in times of trouble you know 😄

Think there’s a takeover imminent (... again) so might be linked to that. Parkinson is a solid boss at this level

Must have been the 2 results against Fleetwood that were the final nail... 😏
Yep. Don't think they can stand the fact they're fighting for results against clubs like Fleetwood, which is ultimately their downfall.

Think someone pointed out on here that their commentators said "teams like Sunderland should be beating Fleetwood". If you actually look at it, a point away from home against an extremely in-form Fleetwood is a good result. But logic is out the window when you're as massive as Sunderland, that is a disgraceful result and somehow your illustrious history should have won the game for you

We are in the Tyne Tees area for ITV here in Whitby and so see quite a lot of Sunderlands news. They come across as a really Billy Big Bollocks of a club, they just totally don't get that they are a League 1 club, they seem to think their history means they should get automatic promotion without playing a game. Not surprising they've parted company with Parkinson, he's been a dead man walking since they didn't rocket to the top of the table and stay there. I'd love to see them in administration and relegated to League 2, some of their supporters would just implode 😉
