Midfielder

Biography

DATE OF BIRTH

SIGNED

Luke is a new addition to the U18’s side after his release from fellow League One side, Wigan Athletic.
Luke also plays in the centre of the park, but he is more of a creative player who likes to link play up and get his side moving up the pitch.
That’s the exact type of players we’ve been asking Critch to sign. Maybe it’s not a bench filler, maybe it’s a potential candidate.

Having seen Lubala youtube goals video...does anyone think we may be playing him in the wrong position.I think hes been pretty poor so far this season and maybe wasted out left...could he be pushed up further to play off Madine or partner with Yates...because he never seems to get into scoring positions out on the left and spends more time tracking back with left back....thoughts....I would love to see him come good.
I've thought the same. The odd thing is, in the tinpot games he actually looked really good when he came deeper. You wouldn't think that but he did. I think he's the kind of player 'd want more near the middle of the pitch, he's not got the finesse of a good wide man but he's dangerous around the edge of the box cos no one has any idea what's going to happen next.

Gents,

can somebody let me know what is the rule re how many players you have to have out with COVID to get the game called off?

That could be 4 3 3 assuming Husband is left back. Midfield trio doesn't inspire me as they are all a bit the same. Maybe Virtue will be encouraged to get forward. Not overly confident.

A midfield three of Williams, Robson and Virtue isn't going to win many games in league 1. If we do get three points tonight I'd rate it as good a result as beating Hull, Portsmouth and Peterborough tbh.
We're missing Garbutt, Gretarsson, Ballard, Turton, Ward, Dougall, Hamilton, and Anderson. That's decimation. I hope people remember this if we don't win this comfortably.
Apart from Madine and Yates we are missing all our best players!! They need to work their bollocks off and hope for the best.

He's 9 months older than Kyle Joseph.
Ok, but he’s not been playing at this level. I think it’s a big step up from u23, but then again, it didn’t help him when Madine went off. He needed that experience next to him.

I’d have liked to have seen Kaikai in a cental midfield role tonight. Good opportunity for him to create in his best position.

Playing tonight is a gamble after a long trip on Saturday with a much depleted squad ...lose heavily and we look over our shoulder! Come lads show us what your made of🧡🧡🧡👍👏

Enjoying Lubala trying to have a crack from outside the box a couple of times albeit unsuccessfully. We need more of that.

Good attacking shape at the moment. Madine and Yates next to each other rather than one in behind and Lubala and Virtue getting close to them when the ball goes forward. Midfield two sat deeper.

We had FOUR in the box then for a cross from Gabriel !!

Looked like the ball hit that guy in the face then? He watches the ball go out the box then went down, gamesmanship!
