Totally agree with that mate. Not enough posters on this thread for some reason? An Absolutely fabulous interview of someone who gave his all for the Pool and fell in love with everything tangerine. Wasn't he the second highest scoring Englishman in the Premiership that season.. behind Wayne Rooney no less? Incredible achievement.Best interview in terms of sincerity, honesty (fascinating that he didn’t initially get on with Ollie) and insight into how a pro footballer views things.
He is a legend.
By the way 39 points was very successful...we were so unlucky.
As he says, the stuff of dreams, we’d been dreaming those dreams you and I since the 70s, flirting on the edges of success occasionally. Interesting how he articulates the players sadness at the inevitable break up of the group, and the subsequent bond that still exists between them.Totally agree with that mate. Well maybe you should watch the video before you "seem to recall"Appreciate all he did for the club but I recall he handed in a transfer request pretty soon after we had gone down from the Premier League which left a bitter taste in my mouth.
Plus I seem to recall he acted a bit of a dick when he had a to do with Jack Robinson when he played for Blackburn.
A good player no doubt but attitude wise I’m not so sure. Haven’t listened to the interview yet but plan on doing at some point.
