Swindon Town v Blackpool Official Matchday Thread 02.04.21

I think we're just being cautious with taking Gretarsson and Kaikai off, not that they're actually injured.

Can't blame us really!

Good result. They’re possibly the worst league 1 team I’ve ever seen though. God knows how they won at the Cods the other week.

The only thing with the radio commentary is (especially now we know how dodgy Chizzy can be) you never know exactly where the ball is & when your half listening & you hear goal action your hearts in your mouth until you hear familiar names.
You learn over the years to place the action from and despite his comms. You know what's happening from the gaps.

How many times have I heard something like 'Kaikai has the ball, plays it in to Yates, (gap) Oh Chris Maxwell, what were you thinking of'

Was looking like the three teams at the top we're giving us a hint of getting automatic and they all turned it around to get wins, madness!

That was a masterclass in how to go away from home, totally dominate your opponent and get a result.
If you've watched that game and don't feel immensely proud of what has been built in a relatively short period of time, then you're on the wrong board.
To a man that was class, everyone doing their job, never giving an inch, capped by two superb goals.

I love this team and what it has become.

Little shout for Turton.
Hes looked just fine at CB against some decent strikers.
Amazing really as he’s not over 6 foot but is winning his fair share of headers and his positioning / reading of the game is very good.
I’d renew his contract just to have his versatility when injuries kick in

Great win, far far better second half. Shame the Cod's couldn't hold on against Posh.

Gill at home will be tough on Monday, and a Covid card refreshed Lincoln away next Sat. Big week.

Good 2nd half from Pool and continuing good away form. 2 very good goals.
Need to start games better, Critchley must sort that. Also, a few players seem a bit fragile for EFL.

We're gonna have a lacklustre but hard earned draw against Gillingham, before absolutely destroying Lincoln
