Will we see a draw as a good result against Lincoln?

That subject of 'automatic promotion' keeps creeping in to the conversation and I get the feeling if we draw tomorrow there'll be a few on here who'll be disappointed but actually should we be looking at being realistic and acknowledge a draw away at a Play Off rival would be a cracking result for us?

I think that we should be hunting for 3 points in this one, given Lincoln's form and Covid troubles. 1 point is disappointing in a lot of games and isn't much reward for breaking even. It's 3 points for a win, so it pays to try for 3 points. I'd be a bit disappointed with one tomorrow, but not gutted. And I wouldn't throw my toys out of the pram. We just have to take each game at a time and accept what comes along really. The players and staff are putting in the effort and they can't control everything that happens on the day.

A draw wouldn't be a disaster although people's expectations have gone through the roof with our form and the issues Lincoln have had with C19. The truth is they are a decent side and it is a place we rarely win, as much as only a win will do to keep our slim automatic hopes alive, a point away at a play off rival shouldn't be seen as a big issue.

It is quite clear that in our current form as the best team in League One over the last 30 games and with still an outside chance of automatic promotion we should be looking to win every game especially as Lincoln`s less than impressive current form is far more relevant than our past history at Sincil Bank.

Nobody achieved anything of note without a positive attitude and I trust with good reason, that is what we will take into this game.

I think it’s unreasonable to expect this team to win every week, although they do keep surprising us I think a draw would be a decent result against a good Lincoln side. As much as I would love us to grab an automatic spot I think we may be a bit short. With a definite eye on the play offs a point away from home would be ok by me. A win and I would be ecstatic.

I've never been one that goes along with "i'd have settled with that before kick off".Go out there and get 3 points is more to my liking. 👍

Problem is with all this positivity on expecting three points I can’t imagine what the fall out will be if we get chinned 😂

There is no mention by the O/P of playing for a draw. He is merely asking if a draw would be such a bad result.
Obviously no because it extends our unbeaten run, but with that said the way we have been playing and confidence high there is no reason we can’t go there and get 3 points.

Absolutely no complacency for this game but we are probably playing them at a favourable time for us and we need three points just to keep the automatic dream alive.

I would like the victory so Critch manages 6 away wins on the bounce and takes his place in our history.
The 3 points would be useful though

Famous last words, but this game is there for the taking. We really couldn’t have hoped to play Lincoln at a better time; 16 points from their last 16 games, poor preparation due to covid, and likely to be without four of their best players through injury, Walsh, Bridcutt, Grant and Hopper.

I'd be happy with a point - will keep us in 5th place (at least) and keep Lincoln behind us. 3 points would be massive, make odds-on chance of a play-off place and keep faint automatic chances alive. 3 points and both Sunderland & Peterboro slipping up would be ** brilliant.
