Blackpool v Bristol Rovers Official Matchday Thread 09.05.21

There's some good play to create some of the chances at times but sadly its the same old finishing and at times final ball.

This is an area that has let us down most of the season and the reason why the bottom side with nothing to play for are still completely in the game.

Its something that has to improve if we are to progress through the playoffs.
 
I think we’re playing well. Some exciting stuff at times. Not our “first team”. Definitely missed Keshi. He looks like he’s on fire today.
 
Enjoyed some of our play today. Mitchell has been superb going forward. Should be a couple up but for some lacklustre finishing. I felt that Holmes was being deprived of the ball a little in and around the box. Some of the lads are being a little greedy wanting to get their name on the scoresheet.
 
Mitchell getting at them aswell as Keshi who has come back from his injury sharper than anybody I can remember.

like to see us get Holmes into his preferred attacking area on the last man just off centre of the penalty spot,where he drew the foul he can hurt defenders there.
 
We have a few who need a goal, and it shows in their option choice. Mind you, we ve spent all season wishing for the players to shoot on sight
 
Decent performance, but not much goal threat. Unfortunately, the likes of Anderson, Mitchell, Embleton and Holmes(at this level) aren't known for scoring goals. Oxford into play off position.
 
Enjoyed that. We’ve played some good stuff and looked a real threat with Anderson and Mitchell. I think we’ll go on to win by a couple.
