Tayt Trusty looked tasty and trustworthy

Will be useful should Stewart or Dougall be unavailable (or both), perhaps that's why Connolly got some time yesterday in midfield.

I thought he looked excellent. His awareness of other players around him was brilliant. He may need to strengthen up a little but definitely a great prospect.

He got walked off the ball once in a 50/50 with a Carlisle heavy. Other than that he can pick a pass, time a tackle, and looks very assured on the ball. Is he even eighteen yet? Needs a few months in the gym but certainly one for the future. Critch obviously having a good look at him in the first half with a few first teamers around him and he didn't disappoint. It's a thumbs up from me.

we were saying similar positive things about Shaw and Antwi last pre-season but come the start they never figured and saw nothing of them. Expect this season will be the same for this lad.

It's a small sample size.

I'd say he impressed me for similar reasons.
It's a straight comparison, one on one.

Both great names, but Tayt Trusty the winner, clear. I wonder if Tayt was inspired by the Irish crisps after a trip to Tayto Castle?

Actually he's named after his uncle who is an administrator in a famous London art gallery. He's a Tate Trustee.

On the half I saw on Tangerine TV I would ssy , yes
I think it's hard to say. I watched the first 35 minutes and got bored, Carlisle looked pretty poor tbh. There was no pressure on the ball, it was all a bit shapeless and our forward line didn't function at all really! Mitchell and CJ lightning quick but little end product, Yates cut adrift by zero service. Trusty did look very comfortable on the ball, but so did Antwi last year.

He was impressive - constantly moving into space and always willing to take the ball. He has good distribution and even once got in a long "Adamesque" diagonal pass.

A good prospect for the future. 🍊🍊

I was going to post exactly the same. It would be great if 2 or 3 of these youngsters make it with us though.

Shame isn't it .. that said, at least Critch stuck some of the young lads on the bench last season.

Looks a good prospect in the same vain as Antwi very good on the ball if i had a gripe id say he lacks a bit of pace.
