So whats the plan

The one thing that is coming through loud and clear is that there isn't an easy answer on pricing. Whatever the club do has pros and cons, and I don't accept for a minute that they haven't thought hard about it. The SLO says they have, and that's good enough for me.

I was amazed at the prices at Fylde, if they are right it certainly puts ours in a bit of a different context. I agree with Plumbs that "20's plenty" was a good slogan when it came out, and I'm glad that lots of people supported it. But that link is over eight years old. Life has moved on since then.

Campaigns like 20s plenty are just the sort of things the Trusts and the FSA should be focusing on instead of getting involved in politics imo

Agreed and the lead was given with Huddersfield and their Trust which you're simply repeating, and for which BST should really be endorsing.
Fill the stadium,get behind the players and achieve promotion - its been done before.

@coppiceman -correct and essentially it was about away tickets, but the FSA still campaign about affordable football and often resurrect their previous social media efforts.

Would have been very hard to be around in the 80's as I spent most of the decade not existing.

I do want a full stadium but I'd rather have people that want to be there and don't have to be enticed to be there. Barcelona can fill their stadium every week if they want to but the vast amount of tourists that come through the door add very little to the atmosphere.
 
I noticed yesterday that Morecambe has quite a radical season ticket pricing policy. The price depends on how many STs are sold, and the prices are incredibly low too.

That's interesting. Quite clever how it incentivises fans to market the club. Morecambe plus Lancaster isn't a bad catchment area really, especially compared to Accy or Fleetwood.

Yep looks progressive, I mentioned a sliding scale based on numbers somewhere before.

Encouraging fans to get friends and family down.

Looks like they recognise morecambe is a relatively poor area, yet Blackpool is poorer.

We could have started at 360 for over 7k, 340 for over 7.5k, 320 for over 8k, 300 for over 8.5k.

The only issue is no one knows how many will buy.

I added up the numbers and if you hit them the money made can be the same, especially with the extra matchday revenue.

Obviously this is simplified, just using one price as there's youngsters and older people but for ease of comparison....

7000 x 360 = 2,520,000

7500 x 340 = 2,550,000

8000 x 320 = 2,560,000

8500 x 300 = 2,550,000

You can make the same money whilst not even factoring in the increase from sales on the day from an extra 1000+

Whilst encouraging the fanbase to grow.

Not saying to use that exact scale above but an example of how it works.

If a club like Morecambe can do it, you have to be a little disappointed we didn't do more here.

I felt a bit tempted to get a standing ticket if it's 150! Depending on how their games fit with ours. About the same distance and time to travel for me. Will be some great games against the likes of Sunderland, Pompey, the Massive etc.

I had a similar thought at that price cos it's really close to me but my other half would murder me!
 
I think, in the long term, it's time for some of you youngsters to have more family.
Increase the fan base.😉
 
Maybe take inspiration from Fleetwood? They do an Onward Card which is basically a monthly season ticket at £17 per month for adults.
Seniors and Under-25 Onward Cards £12 per month and Under 16s from £2.30 per month.

Obviously, the prices would be higher in the championship, but they could add more value by adding match streaming to it as well, for those that can't get to the match?

Would also resolve the problem with peoples concerns about no-refunds and also the concerns about the season getting restricted again.
