Yep. Madness indeed. Dreading it to be honest. I'll be fine, but my father and other relative who I'll be watching out for, maybe not.

I don't understand how they think it's appropriate.

My only hope is that the 2200 nobbers are basically our 'West' and those days are behind them.

Other than that, how are we going to stop those of our own fans looking for conflict leaving the ground early and waiting for them?

Could be ugly, which is the reason I'm not taking my youngest.

Agreed.
I thought something could have kicked off after the Barnsley and Blackburn games, but fortunately their fans were more focused on slagging off their teams rather than confronting us.

There's also the traffic situation which adds to the madness. Why are cars allowed there? I get it that it's a public highway, but they can't move for 20 to 30 minutes anyway. Surely it would be safer to temporarily close the road for 30 minutes or so?

The police were vigilant but they'd have been way outnumbered if any trouble had started. It's inevitable that something will kick off sooner or later. Me and my lad are in the South, and we can see it coming sadly.
 
Total stupidity. I know the config of the ground doesn't help at all, but everyone can see this is going to cause major problems....except the police it seems. It's like there's no-one working in the police force now that was around 11 years ago.

It did kick off after the Middlesboro & Cardiff games.

I thought they'd solve the problem when they started exiting the away fans from the North End of the East for a couple of games, but reverted back to exiting them from the South for some reason.

I've seen them do it where they've asked the fans to stay behind and put a few lines of police in the exit but not actually blocking it, so you could still zig zag your way through them (as my Dad and I did on this occasion) so they technically aren't holding you in the stand and contravening human rights or whatever...

Not sure I'd fancy being one of the coppers but I've seen it done! Might even have been at Deepdale, my memory fails me.

I’m pretty sure the Scousers will be kept back after the final whistle against the Mancs on Sunday. Why should it be any different for the Nobbers tomorrow? It will be absolute carnage if they’re not...
 
It's ** 2021 and there is a thread on a football message board about being worried that both sets of supporters will be let out at the same time once the game has finished....
Apart from anyone that still thinks kicking fuck out of someone for supporting another football club is right and normal, then leaving an event at the same time as everyone else and making your way home safely is dangerous the mind boggles....
Unfortunately there are some amongst us that aren't very bright or have any common sense. Just think in this day and age after events like 2 Gulf wars, twin towers and 20yrs in Afghanistan two football teams playing each other will lead to violence.....

Yep and as said above, the sad thing is we all know it's going to happen and apparently the police aren't arsed.

Completely agree. It shouldn’t be an issue. But there’s some right muppets who support both Blackpool and PNE and they can’t handle their drink and they have a bit of a complex with regards to their manhoods so the obvious solution is to embarrass themselves and pretend they’re 14 again and scrap in a park. It’s truly pathetic but it will undoubtedly happen. Just gotta keep my old man away from it and make sure no kids or other oldies get caught up in anything by the morons. As long as the other decent supporters on both sides do the same it’ll be alright though.

Grown men fighting over football. It’s cringeworthy.
 
Most of there fans had to be ambassadors to get tickets so beware flying tartan blankets if one of those catch you in the eye it could do some damage

Correct to be an Ambassador you had to be a Season Ticket holder for nine years on the trot that discounts a lot of the youth and those up for a ruck.
The Nobber fans will be more worried about getting attacked than us just keep them back or stick them on coaches to the train station like last time we played at theirs.

They're happy to go round with a video camera like they're on holiday and then pick up the pieces after.
Now that's perfectly ok if you've got two sets of supporters that are intent on kicking seven sacks of shit out of each other, on you go👍🏻
BUT.....
There will be several thousand who've gone to watch a football match and have no intention of getting embroiled in any sort of football violence and it's the police's decision to let all the supporters out at once who are putting these others in danger.

Hi Goldfinger , I Think all of that should apply to the ground authorities and police - my brother witnessed someone (older person) falling over in the Road near BR in the exit melee after the Blackburn match and actually, Lee Charles TV caught the people/fan crash on camera

It only takes one idiot to cause a major riot !

And isn’t H & S. supposed to apply as much after the fixture as before it - it’s a huge day out for everyone let’s hVe a bit of common sense

This will be a record attendance in our new ground I guess

Keep safe and enjoy the theatre all and just add in a bit of delay time more than normal that’s your own H & S mission

I'm still amazed it's still 3pm KO and not on sky. It's a crying shame it ain't on sky so other fans can see a proper derby.

Instead they have cardiff v boro to watch 😲

Just hope today passes without too much trouble and that includes our fab North, let's get the place bouncing but no pitch invasions etc.. utp

They are bothered(mate of mine works all BFC games) but it's a no win situation whatever they do light touch or heavy handed they will be criticized.
We have to ask ourselves as a society why does it cost more to Police football than any other sport or event and what can be done to prevent flare ups it's 2021 FFS and not just blame the Police at every turn.

Well if we can't blame the police after making a decision like this who do we blame?
As said before Boro and Cardiff were let out onto Bloomfield road at full time along with Pool fans and skirmishes occurred.
God knows what'll happen today if this happens especially, god forbid, Nob end actually win!!!

For the same reasons it costs more to police a Friday/Saturday night rather than a Monday/Tuesday night: a high concentration of people in one place, cheap drugs, and people who can't handle their ale.

So your blaming those who have to sort out the crime more than the idiots committing it?
Weird I go home games like yourself without having the need for a punch up same as my lad we need to change the culture as just throwing extra Police on the situation is clearly not working.

Why are we having these problems more so than when in the PL is it maybe because we have a supporters group named after a hooligan firm and the need breed want a punch up?
The atmosphere they have created is brilliant but missles,flares fighting amongst other things has to stop and until it does it won't matter what the Old Bill do.
