Rangers friendly (Confirmed)

Saturday afternoon in summer, biggest seaside resort in the country, pubs every hundred yards, hotels galore. They may bring one or two I think
And it’s the start of the Glasgow Fair with quite a few already booked in prior to the announcement l assume.

The Rangers game gets more interesting by the day. Blackburn ( 30 mins from Blackpool ) are at home to Celtic on the same day

Is it actually confirmed that rangers are having 7k tickets? Or is that based off the available sections currently on sale to home fans? We do release sections as they begin to sell out thats why I'm asking. Has anyone seen it confirmed or is it an assumption?

I had a browse on the Rangers main forum earlier and they've been allocated 7,200 but apparantly loads are somehow obtaining tickets in Blackpool areas

They must have a fair allocation.
I phoned us asking whether the family stands were in operation, and I was told R&S blocks have been designated for Rangers fans.

That assuming . they must have been allocated the entirety of the South stand , and East ?

We always hear that, not sure how too many can get in... although we know supposed hoteliers are know to buy for them. But should be easy to spot too many...

And what's going to happen if too many are spotted throw them out 🙃home fans are hardly snapping them up .

No wonder home fans are not keen on buying tickets for this one!
I never usually miss a home game and will be at Southport next Saturday, but this is one match I'm staying well away from!

Hardly a threat just want to support their team with a lot of Scots in Blackpool easy to get tickets if the season ticket holders aren't buying them.

I'm on about from a ticket buying pov, should be easy to spot people buying loads for other people if a hotelier did it.

Lots of Rangers fans saying that have registered on the Blackpool FC site and bought tickets.
Where? I saw one post.

But ones like this tell us they can't do that.

"Thanks, have even registered on Blackpool's website and bought a membership (£15) but seems as I have no history of buying from them that they are not available either. Looks like going to have to try and get one outside the ground. May try and stand outside the club shop and see if I can get a friendly Blackpool fan to go in for me when they get there's. Worked in Sheffield."

"Anyone know if Blackpool will be selling home tickets to non season tickets or not, been on the tickets page on their site and can only buy season tickets not any other games"

Your right mate rangers fans will only get tickets if somebody is buying for them,
Block Q looks full bet it full of rangers.

Could be, some away fans always get in and if they know people or locals buying then some will. Just can't see loads getting in as they can only really buy through others, which many probably can't do.

Aa for block Q, could be rangers but also might be some from the north looking to be next to away fans for once too, which is what some always wanted.

With seeing these comments it looks to me like they are managing to buy home tickets ?

'Big team of us in the Blackpool end. Looking forward to it. We might even have some new signings on show'

'What section you in mate I'm in Q'

'How did you get tickets for Blackpool end mate ? Looking for 2'

Yeah only saw that one comment, likely bought by a hotel owner for its customers.

Others have said they cannot get in as have no purchase history.

I can't imagine a ridiculous amount getting in via hotels.

Will Rangers fans be turned away at the home turnstiles if they are wearing their colours etc
As I can't see it happening as there is still plenty of home end tickets for sale and it will mostly be families coming down from Scotland and just a friendly

Wonder what will happen if Celtic fans turn up in the home end .. just as likely for there to be Celtic fans in Blackpool that week.

They were last time, I remember some older bloke in his Rangers shirt being stopped from going in the home end & saying he's lived in Blackpool for years. Still didn't get in.
