Ditched Sky, price hikes, utility bills up and I had to draw a line after 10+ years.

Ideas of alternative ways to watch footy? Seen lots of firesticks etc offered.

But I want a tried and tested method where I can watch football / Soccer Saturday. Is this possible?

I can get a friend to sort one for 50 pound a year with everything you can imagine on it, with decent internet I’ve never had a single problem :)

I have by far the best IPTV I have ever had and it cost me £50 for the year. Its now £60..so £5 a month. It has everything including all IFollow games and is very reliable. I use an Amazon Firestick to stream it. It also has as a bonus Movies and Box sets as well as all ppv events

If you want the Chap’s number just say and I’ll dm it you on here. If you don’t that’s cool also.

Hey blood can I use this in the nederlands mate

Sky are being hit big style at the moment as people are feeling the pinch and having to make financial priority decisions, wait until autumn / winter sets in!

I've never had sky. I don't think that makes me great or owt but I've never got into watching all the games all the time and thus, I really enjoy it when a game is on terrestrial telly occasionally.

I also ** love radio commentary. Telly is shite compared to being at a game as you only see what the director wants you to see and the radio speaks to your imagination. You already know you can't see it but a good commentator will take you there. They ain't all good of course but Conor Macnamara is superb and Clive Tylesdley on the radio is incredible. I don't rate him on the telly (he's no Barry Davies) but he's brilliant on Talksport. They're both better than Chissy...

I expect this wasn't the answer you were looking for...

Within the next 5 years there won't be any satellite subscription channels robbing people. Everything will be streamed.

Already in the US satellite is pretty much a thing of the past. People want to pay small fees for things they are interested in. For example NFL rights have been sold to Disney, Netflix and Amazon. All streaming. The networks can't afford it and those that have clung on are pretty much screwed long term. People simply aren't prepared to pay large sums to be tied into thousands of channels of shite anymore.

The same will happen to football.

No doubt there will be an even bigger space for dodgy firesticks once the revolution starts.
