just thinking about the game and rating the players performance;

Grimmy 7 (made two great saves otherwise could have been more)

The whole back four, individually i gave a 6 to each.

Uhm midfield; Carey (5), Virtue (4), Fiorini (4)
- just cannot play these three together in midfield.

Front three; Bowler (7), Madine (5), Yates (5)
Bowler at least tried to create something but very little support.

Subs
Dougall (6)
Patino (7)
Lavery (5)
the wolves lad (6 at a push)

Conclude; Patino has to start in the mid three with Dougall and a n other. When Connolly is relived at RB he’s my preferred dcm.

We need a striker….

Distinct lack of fist pumping and badge kissing today. Compared to the corresponding fixture last season. 😉

No I'm absolutely not. You seem.to want to believe that. For obvious reasons.
I’m not wanting to believe anything, just think talking about fist pumps and badge kissing from last year is a strange point to make.

You need to let your love of ‘Critch’ go now. I get you think he’s been slated since he did one (after all his fist pumping and badge kissing btw) but it’s time to just focus on MA.

It's you lot that bang on about fist bumps. Hence my reference to them. The thing that matters is performances and results and that's all I am interested in. I dont do love and hate of football managers like you folks. Judge them by what they do!

But it’s time to just focus on MA.
I'm focusing on Appleton and for what I have seen so far I am not impressed.
He is ment to be such a "serious" quality coach/manager but we all saw yesterday at 2:01 he had made a mistake with team selection.
He's the man picking the team but to put out such a weak midfield leaves me with doubts.
I didn't want him as manager when he was appointed and NOTHING I have seen so far (in any game) has changed my mind.
Critchley left us in the lurch pre season cannot forgive him for that but he picked his sides game by game depending on the opposition and for the most part this worked quite well.

Appleton was quite happy to start with the side that played well for 20 minutes against a weak Reading side (who after that first 20 minutes played us off the park).

To me that is not good management, fist pumping or badge kissing was never going to happen after yesterday's failure.
