    I think the car park you are referring to next to the Hop Inn is where St.John’s market stood which was very old and I’m led to believe that there were massive cellars under the market.

    Interesting, always interested in local history and I am sure that there will be a tunnel network of some sort, Blackpool grew in size and importance during the Victorian & Edwardian times when ‘secret tunnels’ would have been common place town planning by the authorities of the time.
