The enigma that was Steve McMahon Jnr

Mind you, what would I give for some of McMahon's style of football. It was rarely safe and tepid.

    City's punishment

On the flip side, the fans have enjoyed a long period of glory that they might not have had without rule breaking. Back to reality in League 1 seems a fair punishment.

6th Place - whose to lose?

I have been a big critic of CJ, but it is interesting that since we started playing full backs on the wing we seem unable to score goals. I wonder if it is time to unleash his pace and roll the dice? I don't think we have a great deal to lose.

    Come on Carlisle

They can not stop scoring, almost the exact opposite to us.

Limp and insipid then? I have had a few pints like that over the years.

    Madine

It's the same mystery as to why Gary Bowyer and Steve Thompson are on Radio Lancashire. It is tangerine coloured glasses.

Are we ready to go up?

He is not a manager, he is a coach. He gives them the skills and if they don't perform, it is down to them. Pretty easy cop out.

    So...

    Inside Critchley's mind

Northampton v Blackpool Official Matchnight Thread 12.03.24

The best combination we have had all season is Rhodes and Beesley, as it was on Saturday.

    George Byers?

Andy has been in and out and almost playing cameo roles. No wonder we have not seen the best of him. He could score goals in the Championship, but tactics and lack of opportunities, have held him back.

Critch's Week Off - What he needs to work on?

Stop fretting about the opposition and go for it. Better to die trying.

    If we did go up

Promotion would actually simplify contract renewal. Most would be moving on.

    The run in

One game at a time. Looking too far ahead tends to make you miss what is in front of you.

    If you were England manager….

John Stones is too good a footballer to leave out. Mind you ultra cautious Gareth might.
