What do we want from next season’s fixtures? more wins!

I have a cheeseboard that was originally a tip-up seat from the old West Stand, salvaged when the stand was demolished about 25 years ago. As that stand was in use for about 70 years, I sometimes wonder how many ar*eholes have rested upon it! It’s still a lovely piece of wood.

I thought this programme was very well done, uplifting even. It's always difficult for a film-maker to build tension when the outcome is known to be good news, but this documentary succeeded in doing just that.

I thought Barry Keoghan (aged31) looked too old to portray a first-year student at university. A younger actor would have been more believable.

I’m enjoying Mr Bates vs the Post Office on ITV. It’s very well made, and also shocking at the same time. The Post Office management have a lot to answer for.

I stopped watching after series 3. They were distorting history to the point it was ridiculous. The Mountbatten episode, where he was portrayed as contemplating a coup against the government, was factual fantasy.

I really liked ‘The Long Shadow’ on ITV. It retells the story of the Yorkshire Ripper, but concentrates more on the victims and their families. Even so, the misogyny of the police is shocking, and their incompetence beggars belief.
