    Mo Salah

It's certainly increased the values of players who are coming to the end of their careers; no way would Liverpool have received the fees they did for Henderson and Fabinho from European teams. Look at how much Chelsea have recouped from players they'd normally have struggled to offload. My point...

    Mo Salah

Klopp has consistently found players who are below the level City have bought at, around £30-40m, and improved them to being world class. With £200m he could bring in 4 or 5 players and cement them as City's nearest challengers until he leaves.

    Man of the Match

The fact that CJ was deservedly MOTM today proves some people really need to think before they post in future.

Blackpool v Wigan Official Matchday Thread 02.09.23

Exactly what he was brought in to do. And exactly why you shouldn't write someone off before he's given the opportunity to do it.

    Pathetic spoilt little brats

Never known toxicity like it from what seems like the most entitled fans in the country. As soon as they don't get their own way the manager has to go, the chairman and the board have to go; it's embarrassing from what are supposed to be grown men.

    Karamoko Dembele

Quote from a Celtic supporting mate: "He thinks he's Messi, stinking attitude" Wonderful 😂

    Player investment

That's where the poor management comes in. And whilst I was never a fan of Appleton and thought he was a poor choice from day one, I never called for his head after 4 games like some are doing now for Critchley.

    Player investment

The recruitment last season was poor, it was essentially dead money as all the loan players were going to leave and we'd have no assets to show for it. This coupled with a poor managerial appointment was always going to hamper us this season with the drop in revenue from being in the division...

    Sack the manager?

This is what worries me, if the fans (I'm not singling out fcblackpool here, btw) got their way, we'd have a new manager every 6 games. We can't keep doing this, especially when not one of us have the slightest confidence in the board hiring the right man as soon as the last one is out the door...

Critch has to GO and GO NOW!!!

There is a section of our fan base that is toe-curlingly embarrassing

    Charlie Kirk claxon

If we sign Kirk and it means we start playing 442, I'm all for it, because this 352 has to go.

    CRITCHLEY OUT!

With the frequency fans call for managers heads here, we might as well just start getting them on loan.

    Tashan Oakley-Booth. Edited: Interview.......

After last night's performance, if he's capable of making runs forward to break the lines instead of receiving the ball from Marv and then giving it him straight back, he's exactly what we need in midfield.

    Reality check

I really didn't have that much of an issue with today's game; yes we could have played better but we looked comfortable for most of the game, a few slips aside (it happens), and we could have won it at the end. A clean sheet away from home is not to be sniffed at. Considering some of the...

    Scott Banks

Genuine question: How many players have we signed after the news has been leaked days before, if not weeks? From memory, especially recently, by the time the news has leaked the deal is as good as done. Very rarely it seems have we ever signed anyone more than a few hours after the cat is out...

Liverpool release seven from the academy

We need to be looking at their young players who have had experience of their u23's and then playing in League One or Two and excelling. Not what we need at this point. We should be trying to bring in their most talented youngsters on loan, not the ones they've released.

Anyone else not overwhelmed by the Critchley return?

As someone else has said, it wasn't Critchley's fault the club had no plan in place after he left. Appleton wasn't looking back, it was simply an atrocious appointment of someone who should never have been considered, regardless of whether he had worked here or not previously.
