    Come on own up.........................

To be fair if sparkling wine can only be called Champagne if it is produced in a certain region in France, then Blackpool Rock should only be called Blackpool Rock if it’s made in Blackpool.

    Frank Field

I’m not sure about that. Pragmatism suggests a readiness to compromise your principles. And Frank Field was absolutely a man of principles that he would never sacrifice. Some of his principles I agreed with. Some I didn’t. But I certainly admired the man.

    Angela Rayner

If it was a scrap between a mullet egg throwing muppet and Angela then my money would be on the Rayner every time. And then watch the right ‘ard muppet start crying about how John/Angela landed him a firm left hook.

    Angela Rayner

You do realise that in recent years this country has also had a Muslim Home Secretary and a Muslim Chancellor of the Exchquer? Both Tories.

The usual crowd letting the country down again I see. https://www.dailymail.co.uk/news/article-13340887/Police-clash-St-Georges-Day-protesters-chanting-England-tie-die-Whitehall-far-right-groups-travel-UK-capital-mark-day.html

    Gideon Falter

He wasn’t just standing “peacefully observing” though was he? Nor was he arrested. It’d be good if people just stuck to the facts, but that’s a forlorn hope on here.

Keir Starmer fully confident re Rayner

That’s the man. Pro Brexit but believes in its benefits so strongly that he has dual citizenship with Ireland I believe.

Keir Starmer fully confident re Rayner

😂 Guido Fawkes. Yeah there’ll be no doubt that’s genuine then, if it’s been produced by someone as impartial and unbiased as Good Old Guido. Desperate stuff Lost. Even by your standards.

Keir Starmer fully confident re Rayner

Lost indeed. There’s a certain sort of bloke who is triggered by strong independent women, especially those who’ve come from a background of poverty rather than privilege and made something of their lives. Someone wrote to the Times recently describing these attacks on Rayner as “One of the...

Keir Starmer fully confident re Rayner

Could you post photographs of Angela’s kitchen both before and after the works please. So we can judge for ourselves whether it’s an improvement or just maintenance. Linky linky please. Or ask one of your juniors to do it. And if you can’t manage that blame a civil servant. Or as Liz Truss...

I seem to remember there was a snooker table at the Highcross as well. Or it might’ve been a pool table. Or that might have replaced the snooker table. Or I could be completely wrong.

    Ukraine - is it over?

Yes. But as you say I wouldn’t write Ukraine off just yet. As much as our lickspittle Trump and Farage supporting apologists would like that to be true.

    Good man!

Nope. I have nothing in common with Islamic terrorists.

    Good man!

Yes. I agree there a lot of bigoted people around. But if you accept that most of the marchers weren’t Muslim extremists, and were in fact people you grew up with (ie white and quite conservative with a small C) but who were unhappy with indiscriminate bombing of civilians, then it paints a...

    Good man!

Well as it was Israel indiscriminately bombing kids it probably was. A bit like a march demanding peace in the Ukraine could be described as an anti Putin march. Don’t really get your point tbh
