Blackpool v Everton Matchday Thread 24.07.22

Well 2 things to get sorted out: A RB and a LB. High press. Critch had a well drilled high pressing system, despite the infamous defensive aproach of a 4-4-2. Those 3 upfront need to provoke errors more often. Appy said something on the line of "we're working on attacking and having possesion...

    Argentina vs Estonia

So...I'll get to see my national team against our old pal Sergei Zenjov. Let's see what he is made of 😂

    Manager Shortlist

I've been following his career and he did leave Barrow for Bolton at the first oportunity so very possible for us to snap him right now. As far as I know, he plays offensive and dynamic football, and recruits players who are not afraid with the ball on their feet. I don't know if he'll give our...

Lavery and Yates- Is it just a lack of service?

I'll risk it and say that if Yates puts more atention and value to assisting than scoring he could be revamped as a pretty competent nº 10. I've been thinking it since november/december, he clearly hasn't been able to score as much as when we were in League one, he doesn't have that much raw...

is that Spearing calculating how much time it will take him to come back to his position? 😂

    Jake Daniels, one to watch.

I think it's because regulations in those leagues are less tight in terms of player commitment. It lets the club send and recall them. And play in youth or county cups (I think). I think you, Phil, are missing the whole club youth strategy as a whole. Or you don't get it. Or maybe you don't care...

    Summer transfer rumours thread.

I agree 100%. But I feel he offers about the same things as Lavery so i would not bring him unless it's on a free and as a substitute if Jerry moves on. I'd start Shayne for his fighting spirit and height

will he go to Wrexham if they get promoted?

    Summer transfer rumours thread.

Yes but we can't field a team with not-ready-yet players. At least 1 CM and 2 or 3 offensive players that should be able to slot in. And compete with the ones that are here. Also i forgot: bringing some quality from the begining will prevent a slow start of the season. Then the kirks, Beesleys...

    Team for Posh?

Maxi Dale Marv Keough Thornley Garbutt Kenny Stewart Keshi Beesley Yates going with a 5-3-2 only because i dont think critch will play Bowler, and if Garbutt plays, he'll need some leftie cover behind him (and I see him more of an offensive player than a defensive one)

Barnsley v Blackpool Official Matchnight Thread 26.04.22

I was noting yesterday that maybe he should hit the gym. However he doesn't really get bullied. And he's really slippery so he offers yet a different option to our attack

    Is 16th an achievement??

of course it's a nailed on 👍 for me

    Is mid table good enough

Again, it depends on context. If we stay middle table again next season paying silly wages to journeymans and ex-stars that add little to no value then yes, it's worryng. I don't see that happening though If it happens with an established young side and the odd experienced player with 2+ years...

Is Sam Lavelle still over there?

It's hard to put your finger on it.

Read defensive as "win it back and pass it safely". Ofensive CMs will be prone to the risky pass and/or keen to try and carry the ball up the midfield. Thoso lazy twats that you mention usually save themselves for the next offensive play, so they can make the diference (or so they like to think 😂).
