It's usually "one touch and pass" Marv now. He rarely brings it out and so doesn't get caught out. It is limiting if you want to build from the back but , to my mind, I'll take that to have him in the team.
A lot of his trouble is his lack of pace and his speed off the mark. I do like how he fights and keeps or wins balls. Perhaps a good pre-season and a run of games is what he needs.
Marv doesn't try to bring the ball out any longer, it's usually one touch and pass now. Reckon that's Critch's instruction.
His confidence is back and he's consistently playing very well. I'd hate to lose his presence in the middle and his numerous last gasp goal stopping interventions.
Would...
Who should be the prefered first choice to partner Rhodes up front.
Both are very hard workers and close down well. Beesley's better in the air but is a bit slower and one paced. I like the fight and energy of Joseph so he's for me.
A class above us. We rattled them and disrupted their flow for a large part of the 2nd half - very similar to Saturday's game. If we got lucky again and had scored the match may have gone the same way.
That was embarrassing. Must be the low point of the season. That aimless long ball stuff, rarely winning the headers or the 2nd ball was fit for the bottom half of league 2.
I'd give him a spell on the bench. He could do with a rest.
20 or 30 min cameos, coming on to get a winner until he's ready to go the full distance again.
