    Joseph v Beesley

Who should be the prefered first choice to partner Rhodes up front. Both are very hard workers and close down well. Beesley's better in the air but is a bit slower and one paced. I like the fight and energy of Joseph so he's for me.

    Critisism

Obviously the players read comments about themselves on AVFTT and I'm sure the negative stuff must have an effect on them, particularly when they're the current scapegoat. You're a better player when feeling confident. CJ is a good example. When your nervous you'll play safe, maybe pass...

    Matty Virtue

Should he be offered a new contract at the end of the season or not? I've always liked him. A good player, solid and hard working so I say "yes" and end Weir's loan.

    Marvin Eki

The old Marvin is back. Looked cool and assured throughout. The whole back 3 were immense today.

    C J today

Along with many others I thought he was excellent today. He provided many of our best attacking moments down the left, defending was brilliant and he worked his socks off. Good to see him on his natural wing.

    Possession Stats.

Doesn't tell you anything. 31% / 69% in Wigan's favour most of it across their back 4. And who were the better team? The possession stat. should measure possession only in the opposition's half. Good idea?

    Jake Beesley

He often takes stick from the fans but he had a really good game today. He won a good share of headers with some very good flick-ons and created some dangerous situations. Worked really hard closing down and fighting for possession. Well played Bees.

    Marvin

Much of the problem On Tuesday was down to Marvin's inability to play out from the back. His nervousness and hesitancy put us on the back foot. The speed, or lack of, at which the ball moved forward into the midfield set the pace for all our play, particularly in the first half. High tempo we...

    Tangerine and White

Always gone for the traditional Tang/white kit but I thought the lads looked really good in the all tangerine last night. Not sure it was true tangerine though but it did look terrific.

    Dom Thompson

I think there's a good player in there somewhere. Working with Critch on his distribution and cutting out silly mistakes, he could become a real "diamond". He's young, speedy and energetic. I'm interested to see how he is in 6 months.

Why do so many transfers have a...

...fee "Undisclosed"? It's so interesting to know how well your club has done in a transaction and I can't see the reason why the info should not be out in the open. We may not learn whether Yates goes for 2.5m or 4m and I want to know.

    Favourite Scottish team and why.

Dundee United due to their tangerine colours.

    Dobbie Dobbie Dobbie

The players responded well to him. He imposed a more successful and entertaining way of playing. Successful with the junior teams. Liked by supporters and so can get back that feeling we had with Critchley- a big factor in the previous 2 seasons. Knows the players he'll want to keep in the...

    Putting the case for CJ..

..Hamilton. Seems he's a bit "Marmite" with people on here but I think he did pretty well in many games I've seen this season. He has limitations. A crap first touch but he does win most races to a ball played through or over the top. Not so good played to his feet with his back to goal. He...
