    Pilley gets 13 years

Neither am I any more. I thought the 2/3 after 7 years was for all sentences. This specifies ‘serious violent and sexual offences’ so unless there is a missing comma Pilley shouldn’t qualify.

    Pilley gets 13 years

You serve half for all sentences up to 7 years. Over 7 years it is 2/3. That means Pilley will serve 8 years 8 months or about 8 1/2 years after time already spent inside awaiting sentencing.

    Pilley gets 13 years

While I agree with the sentiment of your post I don’t think a sentence 1 year short of the maximum available for the crime could be called lenient. The judge went in hard but Pilley has earned every day of the nearly 9 years that he will serve.

    Pilley gets 13 years

Always someone siding with the criminal. It might be non violent but with financial crime the sentence needs to be big if the money is big. How many people would do a 4 stretch if they were coming out to millions in the bank. You also need to remember he was given a much shorter sentence for a...

    Where's Hubby?

Connolly can play centre half can’t he?

Something is not right at the club

The only problem I can see is that we have an owner who has a vision for the next quarter of a century and a section of the fan base who can’t see beyond next Saturday.

    “Oi, Neil!”

Can’t we just forget about him. He’s in the past and chose to leave in a way that has resulted in an absence of any goodwill towards him. Spent over 50 years not caring what happens at Aston Villa and for me nothing’s changed.

    The Muckers

Good point. That 90% are the lifeblood of our club. The ones who make the North the best end in the Championship. The ones who are responsible for the best away support in our league. The guy who runs the account is embarrassing you. Take control and get rid of him.

    The Muckers

You find it funny to see the club humiliated by nobbers.

    The Muckers

I’m fuming about the tweet and beyond fuming about their lack of apology and doubling down on the accusation. These accusations aren’t my line of attack but I don’t care what people are bringing up and although I realise there are people with an anti Mucker agenda using this to make hay it’s...

    The Muckers

What is most pathetic is the lack of an apology. The MSG tweet damages both the player and club. Most of us are on here because we support the Seasiders not a fan group so when said group damages the club they are going to get pelters.

    Rhys Williams

If they apologise to both the player and club and maybe we see a resignation or two then they should remain in the fold as many have pointed out there are many positives with the Muckers. However things can’t stand as they are. They have damaged both the club and the player and there needs to...

How does the MSG actually work? Who is in charge? Who is responsible for their social media? They need to apologise to the player and the club and there needs to be resignations from their top table too. In the absence of that happening in the next 24 hours they should be made persona non grata...

    Would you forgive Critchley if…

I’d rather forget about him and look forward to seeing what Rossenior, Duff or Evatt can do. However such a scenario would give me so much pleasure that I couldn’t help him going up in my estimation

    Would you forgive Critchley if…

A good story only needs to approximate to the truth. Whether he actually has any input or not doesn’t matter in this scenario it’s just a better tale if legend says he had a hand in it. We would never know the real truth anyway.

    Would you forgive Critchley if…

If they decide to loan him out and the new manager fancies him there is no reason why he couldn’t come here as opposed to any other championship team. I know they are 2 big ifs but then a goal v the nobbers is a distinct possibility. I know getting him would be unlikely to be Critch’s decision...

    Would you forgive Critchley if…

…he got Villa to loan us Cameron Archer and he scored the winner v the nobbers? I certainly would.

    Rumour has it…

I don’t understand how on the one hand everyone is saying he didn’t like the pressure of being No 1 and therefore preferred an assistants job and on the other hand he wanted to be Blackburn boss. Surely both can’t be true. Also although I can believe 100% that he was top of Rovers shortlist it...
