Holy cow. It would be cheaper to get a flight over to where I live in the basque country get a couple of drinks and a couple of pintxos thrown in.

Kenny as a midfielder anchor is, was, and always will be a better option than Norburn. Connolly as an out and out defensive mid is superior to Norburn even accounting for CCs limitations, CC is decent in the air, can tackle, can put in a decent cross from his right foot, and is a decent goal...

    Your 12.30-2.30pm Saturday plans?

Might nip down to the beach bar for a beer and a pintxo, before heading back home for the game. If the weather's nice might even have a dip in the sea.

Far too close, tell him it's a special game in outer Mongolia, he gets captain's privilege and goes tomorrow, no return flights till July for the transfer window

    From the Barnsley Message Board

Personally i think we have one of the best squads in the division, there is some genuine talent there across the pitch, but critchley cannot or will not (apart from 900 minutes or so of football this year) use the players to their strengths, opting normally to force players into a rigid...

44 league matches, half a dozen friendlies, tin pot, league and fa cups games. you can say in total weve maybe had ten full games of decent football this season. Somehow we are still in with a chance 😲

Gateshead FC thrown out of NL play-offs

You do have to wonder about the function of local councils when stuff like this goes on.

    From the Barnsley Message Board

He knew a majority of the squad when he came back, has spent 60ish games trying to plug players into a rigid system and way of playing. He stumbled on things that worked by accident, Dale as a wing back for example, Carey in a freeish role, CJ with a license to run, letting Marv defend, etc etc...

    IF!!!

Pish looked decent in spells, and were exceptional in the tin pot cup semi, but we were truly awful that night. In the game at BR after we went a man down we mullered them for thirty minutes and were unlucky not to have taken something from that game. At their place it was pretty evenly matched...

    The set up

No because normally players are playing a rigid system where they are shackled in zones and rarely move out of them. CJ is often static on the right, coulson is cautious going forward, Carey ends up sitting on the left touchline, Marv becomes a focus for build up play because the holding...

    Subs

Changing lavs for Norburn big mistake. As someone else has said we dropped back 5 or ten yards and took away a key part of our energetic defensive work on their defensive line. The understanding we seemed to have in the midfield suddenly disappeared as well. Byers was looking tired on 70...

is it critchley who got him ticking or is it despite critchley

We had dougal who if he was played he tended to be played further forward. Appleton and mickosaurus weren't so much coaches as broken charabangs
  17. Costero Poderoso

    How Refreshing Was That

I've always rated Carey but he needs to be given some freedom to play which he has had with Byers next to him and kaddy causing a rucus in front of him. Rigidly playing on the left or as a holding mid just isn't his game.

    Sonny Carey

Also playing as a defensive mid with patino which was just silly

    The Best Ref.....................

Excellent not sure, but decent, missed a clear penalty. Was in danger of losing the game at a couple of points, but managed to exert some authority and a bit of nous, which we don't see often enough from officials.

    Sonny Carey

He's a very good player, was coming into form in a midfield of him kaddy and dougal and then just dropped. There seems to be an understanding between the three that played today, there was some sharp passing and players moving into space to get the ball forwards quickly. It's good to watch as well
