    Preview Show

The Preview Show for the Oxford game is up on YouTube now to watch. I have to say that I think these have been fantastic, and seem to get better each week. It really highlights the professionalism within the club under Simon Sadler's reign. The highlight for me this week was Brett Gerrity's...

Well done to EVERYONE at the club

Regardless of what happens in the play offs, I just want to say a huge thank you and well done to everyone at the club for reaching them. It's been a monumental effort after the first 9 games, and everyone deserves credit. Well done and up the ** Pool!!!! 👏👏 👍👍

    2 years ago today...

We played Accrington Stanley away, in what was the first "proper" game post-Oyston. It was great to be back on a packed terrace with Pool fans! Bizarre game with their keeper getting sent off for throwing a bottle back into our end.

I know it's frowned upon to give him any credit on here...

...but how good has our defence been since Calderwood came in? The board deserve huge credit for the way they have quickly reacted to problems this season, and bringing in Calderwood could be our best signing of the season. N.B. Praising Calderwood doesn't mean I'm criticising Critch.

    The pitch is being sorted

Simon Sadler gets things done! 👏👏

    The 1990/91 Season

Somebody has very kindly uploaded the highlights of the 90/91 season on YouTube: https://www.youtube.com/playlist?list=PLzDfh_45s60G9l4IlBrz0Jd4zMJRAKl08 How the hell did we not go up that season?! Our form from when Billy took over was exceptional and we played some brilliant attacking football.

    PNE 3 - 0 Pool - December 1999

I've just been going through a load of my old Pool programmes and found the programme and ticket stub from this game. I must've erased it from my memory as I don't remember a single thing about it. I looked it up and found a vid on YouTube of it, and Eyresy scored twice, pointing to his PNE...

    Mike Garrity

Was he part of the backroom staff on the bench today? I only saw Critch, Calderwood, Stevo and the physio.

    Yates & Madine

What a difference having these two on form has made to the team. WE look so much better with 2 up front. These 2 MUST be part of our first choice team for the remainder of the season!

    All credit to Colin Calderwood

No coincidence that we get a win after such a poor run as soon as the big man comes in... bite, fishies...

    iFollow problems for Wimbledon game

Anyone else having problems? I'm just getting a white buffering circle. What an absolute pile of shit this system is.

    Shots on target

Is anyone else concerned by how little we've worked the opposition keeper so far this season? I think Kemp starting will help us, but we need to just have a dig!

    Johnson and Mansford

Critchley will rightly get some stick, especially for our woeful set pieces, but what have these two done so far to justify their salaries? What have they brought to the club? I feel so sorry for Simon Sadler. He is being let down by an awful lot of people he has paid to do a job.

    Accountability: some questions

Exactly who is on our 'transfer committee'? How are they qualified to judge League One players, and how much of a say does Critchley get in the players we sign? What responsibilities do the staff on the football side of the business have and to whom are they answerable? Who decided it would be...

    Road bike/turbo trainer stupid question

I'm looking for a spare wheel so that I can put my road bike on a turbo trainer without having to change the tyre every time. The rear tyre size is 700x25C, so is it just a case of looking for any 700c quick release rear wheel and sticking an inner tube and turbo trainer tyre on it?

Player Recruitment - Possible question for the meeting tonight?

With the appointment of a Head Coach instead of a Manager, it seems that recruitment is going to be done by a committee involving Mansford, Johnson etc and, hopefully, Critchley. Do you think the club need to appoint a dedicated Director of Football to facilitate this, or will it be left to...

    Warnock

I keep reading that people think we should go for him. I don't think he'd come to a league one club at this stage in his career anyway, but am I right in thinking that his family is based in Devon, so he ruled out jobs up north years ago?

    Just back

Terrible performance again, totally lacking any spark, creativity, determination or tactical nous. I've been in the 'give him time' camp, but I honestly can't see how Grayson turns this around. We don't have even a flicker of hope that we are building something more entertaining or creative...

What position do you think we'll finish in?

Time to put your neck on the line... We're 15th now, so with the new signings and hopefully an up turn in form, I'm going for a 9th placed finish at the end of the season.
