17th of April fans return

Hopefully it goes swimmingly in preparation for our play-off final 😊

They're testing the FA Cup final with 20k spectators which will be 5 days before League One's play-off final. Would be amazing if they could bump it up from 10k to 20k, would certainly be the cherry on top if we ended up getting there!

The more I think about a potential playoff final this the worse all this seems.

Seen a few getting excited about if we got to Wembley in playoff final which is miles away from happening yet and nowhere near certain.

Imagine if we did, there's only 10000 tickets, between both fans, including players families etc.

Would each club even get the full 5k each or would some go to corporate suits etc.

Also imagine the anticlimax for the majority of fans, promotion should be about what we've seen in the past, half the town travelling down and filling the stadium for the big occasion, its all about going to Wembley, not watching Wembley.

Imagine only 5k or less pool fans there, basically only the 4k who bought this season and a few more here n there maybe previous season tickets etc.

It would be nice to go up but actually a shame not to do it the normal way with increased attendances and actually going to Wembley.

The feelgood factor usually built up from a promotion run for me is vital in building support and attracting new fans and it could be significantly hindered this season should that happen.

So much so I'd rather go up next season if we were back to normal. I mean i do want to go up as if a chance comes you take it but its not the way it should be, we won't be growing the club fanbase and we won't all be able to see them in person.

Shit situation.

Be like the last time the team got to Wembley 😂. In all seriousness this years play offs if fans allowed should be played on a neutral ground as near as possible to both competing clubs. Bit like the old FA cup semi finals.

I dont even recall that one, was completely out the loop at that time in the end.

Its just the whole promotion push should be a way to get more fans to come to Bloomfield Road and if any team is lucky enough to get to Wembley it should be a special occasion not people fighting over a tiny amount if tickets and potentially missing a huge occasion that stay with you forever.

Its a damn shame.

If you read the article it says fans from the clubs involved won't be there. So it'll be for people within a certain radius of the stadium.
That's even more stupid then. Deny fans from football for 15 months then open it up for match the locals don't want to go to. I suppose it's the same as having a a test event in Preston or Fleetwood 😃

I agree with virtually all of that, but there is already a huge disconnect between us and the team for obvious reasons - missing that game wouldn't be the same as if we hadn't been able to go to the games v Cardiff or Yeovil when we were far more invested because of the matches we had been to and felt like we had been a real part of. No ifollow game could ever match what I felt actually being at Forest away, Swansea etc...
I just want to get out of this division; if that means winning at Wembley infront of a massively reduced or none existent crowd, so be it. There is no guarantee next season is gonna be the walk in the park many are expecting if we don't go up this year.

I'd happily trade not being able to go to Wembley if it meant everyones first game back was the Championship season opener next season.

Presumably it would only be home fans if they allowed supporters in to league games and the question is whether fans can go to Wembley who don't live in London. Judging by the scenes in parks yesterday, it's a free for all anyway!

I don't want to be a party pooper but wouldn't it be better to have test events at local clubs rather than one at a stadium that everyone has to travel to?
With apologies to the young uns, no reason why those with two vaccinations couldn’t go in to home games. They’d also arguably be more careful and considerate than the young uns and at least add some atmosphere.

I think people are getting a bit beyond themselves at the moment.. Just remember 1995 and Bradford. One game at a time
