Was the Brexit vote.

Over 6 years ago.

Enough time for people to change their minds.

Referendums are not cast in stone nor time bound by legislation forever.

Polls are showing that 76% of people regret Brexit and would vote against it now.

Surely now, given the circumstances, debt and cost of living crisis people are in and with a desperate requirement for growth is it not time for a 2nd referendum?
 
I do wonder sometimes if the Gov deliberately did fcuk all, just to say “I told you so. Can we rejoin now?”
I know there are many high profile Tory remainers, probably just waiting to get on that EU Gravy Train.
As someone who wanted to leave, if the useless b’stards in charge aren’t prepared to make any radical changes or take advantage of our autonomy, then we might as well be back in.
It’s all the hassle and costs, with none of the potential benefits.
So on that score I probably underestimated the absolute incompetence of those in charge, or even the ability of the ex-PM’s partner to derail all logical thinking.
I’m not convinced Labour would be any better either. All politicians these days are next to useless.

100% from day one after the vote nothing happened just MP's sat around arguing for the best part of four years then Boris came along won a landslide GE on one issue out means out barely a few months later we had a pandemic.
Six long years for basically fuck all.
 
Good luck with that one.

We won’t give the Scots a second vote so no chance for this one.

They were never intended as a best of 2 or 3 event.
