Thoughts on madine, lavery and Yates playing together ?
Madine doing his usual with lavery and Yates buzzing around with one replacing maybe bowler or Mitchell maybe ?

not for me. two of them but not three. Perm any two from three because i do think Yates and Lavery could work well together. Keshi the third option out wide. Two inverted wingers at the moment isn't creating enough chances even though we are playing quite well in spells.

All right footers, so as a long term solution it’s a bit of a non starter

I suggested this last week. It would mean we would have to directly replicate Liverpool formation with the third midfielder being either Keshi or Carey or even Virtue when fit.

Only issue is that would leave our defence wide open as we would not have the wide men to track back and double with the full back, although Yates and Lavery potentially have the engines to do it?

Final issue, Madine is not mobile enough to play that false 9 that Jota/Firminio play - or maybe he is?

Madine is not mobile enough...on that point you are absolutely correct...Virtue will be out on loan somewhere and I doubt he will play in the Championship with us or anybody else. Its worth trying Yates cutting in from the left has he did so successfully with Swindon with Lavery down the middle and Keshi in a supporting role...Dale has also played centre forward albeit at a lower level and Carey needs more game time...The team at reading was fantastic at going forward and should be given another try.
