5 top paid Pool players according to FLW

I'd say it opens a Stewart debate more than it reopening a Goals debate...

You could argue we could spend the wages on the top 3 better. That's about a million a year. If the info is correct. May not be. Madine apparently took a pay cut in the summer.

Kenny Keshi Marv should really be in there. Kenny may be with his new contract.

He was allegedly our highest paid player last season. Part of my issue with him. High pay, not much back in return. But we've moved on from that. Gaz has bought into the Critch Revolution.
Hmmm, that’s £332,400 a year, I don’t think so

What we don't know is the structure of the deals. They may be flat rates. In which case, it's hard to disagree re Mads and Stew. Neither is justifying being a top earner. Disagree re Yates though. There's obvious re-sale value that justifies his salary.

True yes. Has his resale value improved since his contract was upgraded? Possibly fallen? Hindsight obviously. And plenty of time for him to come good.

Nah, just saying what we pay compared to our opponents and that 6k a week is peanuts in this league.

PKE's highest earner (that they own) is Johnson on 19k a week and they're ** shit.
Of course. But we can only decide how to best spend our own money.

Yeah, I know, I'm not knocking our wages, but we don't exist in isolation and I'm knocking terrible skint teams like PKE's wages.

Madine is a bargain for 6k compared to other teams wages.

He said he took a paycut over the summer to stay with Blackpool. So don't think the values here are true.

I would have thought that a players contract details are confidential and not in the public domain. Are these figures likely to be a 'guestimate' by the media?

Do you really think that this publication actually knows the confidential details of players salaries? I don't and the clubs would be in breach of data protection if they had released them

That's irrelevant, as is his wage compared to other Blackpool players.

Could you replace him for 6k a week? That's the point.
Nope you'd get Jack Shit in the Championship for 6k a week, we where missing out on players 11 years ago with our PL Oystons enforced 10k salary cap to players in this division.

Madine has been brilliant seen he came back and worth every penny whatever that may be.

Stewart the crock on the other hand. 🤔

Oh gawd, I'd completely forgotten about that 10k cap.

Reading the West Brom message board and they're saying if they'd had Madine instead of Hugil they would have won the other night, I bet Hugil's on 3 times what we're paying Gazza.

Interesting, but i'm guessing it's one poster? I don't think Madine would have won them the game.

I think the general consensus was that Hugil is a waste of space. Big Sam bigged up Madine as the one to watch when we played them in the cup last season.

Gotta be the lowest wage bill in the division, even Peterborough have 4-5 players on 7k + with Clarke-Harris on 9k according to the same, potentially flawed sources.

Just found this though, I think they're just guessing:
Dujon Sterling$10,138$527,17621D/WB/AM REngland
Ryan Wintle$9,179$477,30824DMEngland
Callum Connolly$8,768$455,93623D C, DMEngland
Gary Madine$8,494$441,68830STEngland
Jerry Yates$8,357$434,56424STEngland
Kevin Stewart$8,220$427,44027DMEngland
