Great effort on a decent day but still think Grayson’s style of play won’t get people rushing back on Tuesday. Over-complicates with a system that is overly confusing - with the personell we have there is no reason we couldn’t win every game in February .. but not sure we’ll win more than 2 more with Larry’s formation!

7579 home fans, not bad considering the run we have had and the feeling of despair around the place.

Agreed. You can feel that everyone is chomping at the bit for the return of dominating winning football! Signs of hope!

Anyone know how many Southend brought? Can see us struggling to get 7k on Tuesday bearing in mind it’s Gillingham and the weather looks shocking!

Pool are 6/4 at home to Gillingham on Tues. I had to double check the bookies to make sure it wasn't a mistake. That's like giving away free money.

Nearly 300 Saarfend, when you consider the season they are having, is a great effort. About 75 times what Fleetwood would manage, probably.

There were about 20 of them, all young lads, on my train in both directions yesterday. They serenaded us all with a song about The Joys of Essex as we were walking up to the concourse at Euston, drowning out some surprised Fulham fans in the process.

Didn't look like nearly 8k

It did have gaps in the crowds but maybe it was about right. Or maybe season ticket holders not attending were counted? But he always takes pics as teams just come out and theres always people coming out last second so maybe a bit more than we see here.

Nearly 300 fans from the team who have gathered the least number of points in League One was a good effort. Fleetwood allegedly pushing for promotion take 80? Shameful.

So nothing to do with Southend population of 174,000 v 26,000 Fleetwood.

Some real whoppers on here who can never see the obvious. 😳

I think it has more to do with Southend being a club with a historic fan base, and Fleetwood not.

Southend do have to compete with West Ham, but nevertheless I think the comparison is valid.

Brings our average for the season below 9,000 for the first time this season - now at 8,956 - of course would have been much more if Bolton and Tranmere games had taken place 🙁

Especially on a Saturday Mr Brightside! Now rearranged for Tuesday nights so attendances will be lower👎
