Italy, Spain and Germany are buying Eurofighter in increasing numbers. The Italians will take another 8 before the German Tranche 5 order for 20 comes in Autumn. This is on top of the recent order of 38 for Germany, 45 for Spain and 16 Italian.
Our European partners are retiring American made squadrons and replacing with EF
The UK has chosen to spend its meagre resources on 12 F35 increasing dependency on the US and leaving the Germans dominating the EF program.
Of the 4 core nations we are clearly in 4th place. Final assembly at Warton will only return if the UK catch any further export orders. Final assembly in Italy, Spain and Germany is secure for another 10 years. BAES are currently chasing a number of campaigns in the middle East.
If people want to see the effect of Brexit reducing the government's tax income here it is.
