At this point with the season practically over we're in a dilemma we really shouldn't be in.
With 14 games left to go, what do you do?
Risk trying to get the feel good factor back now, possibly with Jones? If he really hasn't jumped at the opportunity to manage us then despite his credentials I'd move on from him completely the wrong signs for me.
Do you take a punt on Heckingbottom to get that feeling back? Lets be honest we all know the ending to that film, we've just seen it with Larry.
Or do you wait until the summer with Dunn in charge for now, 14 games to eek out, playing regurgitated tactics left over from Larry that could completely kill any momentum as a club. With us being no better placed in three or four months time depending on who's available in the summer.
After assessing all that the only other alternative would be Evo unless I'm missing someone obvious or a foreign appointment no one knows about, which is just as risky as taking a gamble on Evo. Pride, passion and belief not in question.
Fantastic CV as a player at this level and decent start to one as a lower league manager.
For me this is now our only option and one we're daft to rule ourselves out of.
We really shouldn't be in this situation one way or another, whether you never wanted Larry in the first place or wanted him to the end of the season. We're in a weird position of our own making now and its the first big test of the management structure.
