Activity on Henry St, 3pm, 11 Dec 24

By the time it's complete, it'll have been best part of 30 years since the North and West were built. Which is pretty shocking when you think about it. Most other clubs get it done and dusted within around a tenth of that time.
30 years, bonkers both for the East and my sudden realisation of my mortality. 30 feckin years

Think it stated that it was the same design & built by the same company that did a stand for Worcester Warriors .
Yes, it was definitely the Worcester Warriors and I think their East Stand was converted to a permanent stand. The safety demands on a football stadium stand are much higher than a rugby stand. Rugby doesn't have the same tribalism and let's say excitable fans jumping up and down to take into account.

Oxford still have 3 stands, Bournemouth still have a temp south, took Plymouth 20 years to fix up their grandstand, Stockport built one stand about 35 years ago, nothing since, Burnley still have 2 old wooden stands, Wrexham just getting round to fixing up their kop which closed decades ago, Gillingham still have an open air golf stand put up 25 years ago, Port Vale had a half built stand for decades, Barnsley have an unusable, decrepid stand down the side, could go on and on.

It's not unusual especially in the lower leagues, but good to see some possible movement on ours. Though I'm a bit skeptical it'll happen anytime soon.
