Advertising bar at top of screen

I'm viewing the forum on a laptop, and I'm getting an advertising bar at the top that takes up almost half of the screen. It doesn't scroll when I move down the page to scan the threads, or when I look at a post.

Viewing the site is like looking through a letterbox. Anyone else getting this?
 
Which browser are you using? We are looking at placing some ads on the site and we're experimenting today. They will start to appear in the next hour or so but on Chrome and Safari we don't have anything.
 
Just started the same on mine on Firefox.....I got rid of the advert and now I've just got a massive tangerine banner covering the whole top half of the screen.
 
The ad bar has started scrolling up now. Thank you for your quick response. 🤞

I'm happy to leave the ads visible rather than use an ad blocker. I hope others are too. The ads are not intrusive and AVFTT deserve an income for providing this excellent site.
 
I have ads but no problem navigating past them on chrome on my android phone. I wish we could have AVFTT as an app rather than having to use my browser, but I do appreciate that would be costly. I am all for advertising if it is bringing in an income for the site and helping with improvements which this new site is.
