AFC Wimbledon v Blackpool Matchday Thread

Just about to set off for this one
Hoping for the best, expect the worst
Prediction Dons 0-3 Pool
I went to this game last season, probably about 12 months ago - we had the rotund Steve Davies coming on a substitute and it was a dreadful 0-0 draw. I seem to remember Bola having a bit of a mare and Spearing looking like the best player on the pitch. It's easy to forget how far we have come in a few months - I really hope it is better football today
Just to add - weather is poor for football there is a strong blustery wind here today.

I feel oddly disconnected from this game. I usually have a feeling one way or the other but no idea at all.

I'd like us to stick with basically the same side as did well at Brizzle before Heneghan 'slipped' so I'd leave Spearing on the bench. It seemed as if our midfield managed some shots at least which is not something they've been doing.

If Edwards is fit, pop him in the centre, if not, not sure how I'd set up the back three as we don't seem to have a central fulcrum given that Moore needs to play on the right side of a 3 (unless Turton does, which I don't fancy)

Keep up the performance from last week with Dunn’s selections/tactics and laws of averages suggest things will start to go pool’s way.
Pool win.

Weather was gash at Bristol rovers but it didn’t stop them scoring with a thunder bastard, hope we play smart football and use the weather to our advantage , you know they will.

Pool have scored exactly the same amount of goals as they have let it in. Wimbledon are fairly mean at home and average over a goal per game overall.

1-1

Think if Spearing comes back in and Thorniley still hasn't got himself sorted, I think it could be a long afternoon! We've given too many teams a free hit because of the way we set out to defend.

Scrafton: Players are out on the pitch here at Kingsmeadow. Gary Madine is among them, as is Jay Spearing who is back available after missing last week through concussion. Not seen Armand Gnanduillet yet.

Blackpool make two changes. IN: Ollie Turton and Nathan Delfouneso OUT: Ben Heneghan and Armand Gnanduillet (hamstring) TEAM: Maxwell, Turton, Moore, Husband, Macdonald, Feeney, Virtue, Ronan, Dewsbury-Hall, Delfouneso, Madine

Why is Howe not in for Turton? It looks 4 4 2 with Madine and Fonz up top so a welcome bit of mobility and pace. Should be trying to win games like this at all costs. We can outscore these and hope we are adventurous
