You want Joey Barton then.I want a manager who jumps into the air and runs up and down the touchline when we score. One who is in the ear of the 4th official when stupid decisions are made. One who appeals for penalties and offsides. One who the players run to when they score, and one who gives them a hug when they come off as subs. That kind of enthusiasm is infectious to the team and the fans.

I thought you wrote ‘He’s a Welsh tool’ there GJJW![]()
Why would an out of work manager not fancy it? Hardly added to his CV at Stoke! Still not my choice.

Didn’t know that Wiz very interesting. So some managers who’ve been potted say 2/3 times over a period of 3/4 years continually get a regular income from a number of clubs, SG for example? No one gets a payoff as such. They continue on the same money for the length of the contract. If they get another job, then they lose the rest of their money.
It's happened a few times that managers sit tight for a couple of years.

Gregan with Macken as his number 2???Yes.... I think... As someone said, he's a knob, but he'd be our knob... We need someone that everyone else hates. Classic, you hate them, but would love them if they played for you... Gregan style

Clubs can't afford to pay, say three years' salary as a lump sum so it makes sense to them. However, if they then take another job, in effect that invalidates the original contract as if they'd not been sacked but just changed jobs and the new salary kicks in.Didn’t know that Wiz very interesting. Nope... Macken failed at Radcliffe BoroughGregan with Macken as his number 2???

If we're paying a lot less than Stoke then Jones might elect to stay on his old pay.

Why should they? He's elected to take another job so that invalidates his current contract.Would Stoke not make up the difference in that case?

There's also managers ' currency depreciating if they sit out too long.Pragmatism?
It would seem to make more sense to pay a portion of a wage to encourage someone to take a job, rather than sit it out.

So we’re at his mercy then ?, do one you clown if that’s the case.
Alan Nixon is an impeccable source.Speculative journalist tripe - Blackpool is no longer the leaky ship it was when it comes to gossip and sounds like pure speculation.
I think he's someone with passion and we've lacked that for a very long time. He is the board's number one candidate. In fact he's really the only one they want.He strikes me as a man with a massive ego. If this prevented him coming to us I wouldn't want him anyway but if he is willing to accept that Cardiff, Luton, Stoke, the Welsh National Team and Barcelona are insignificant in comparison with the Mighty I might consider his humble application. It would be interesting.
Who/what is your source? He is the board's number one candidate. In fact he's really the only one they want.
I genuinely can't tell you as it would probably compromise them but I promise you that the source is absolutely impeccable. It's been a long time since I was privy to any real information coming out of the club, but I can assure you that Jones is the man, if he agrees to come.Who/what is your source?
