Left sided CB who’s been with them his entire career.

Bigger clubs than us have sniffed around in previous years but he stayed loyal to Exeter. Has finally announced he‘ll be leaving on a free.

Would be a super bit of business imo. Classy CB for the problem left hand side.

No disrespect to either Alex Hartridge or Exeter, but we need players whose quality, experience and track record is different to a one club man who's played for Exeter and Truro.

I've not seen him play myself but I'm more bothered about the player than the fee. I think we need 4 or 5 very good players whether that's free or club records is irrelevant. We just need quality in the door and if it's at the back we are recruiting then a ball player would be nice too.
 
My only comment is he looks a tiny little bit like hubby when he has had his hair so that's a yes from me.

He's been around for quite a while and not been picked up by anyone. I'm not saying lower league players can't perform well in the top two leagues - Alex Baptiste, GTF, etc. - but this guy isn't of that calibre. Just saying ....
 
I always get dead excited when I read we are signing a long time Exeter player. Said nobody ever. In the history of association football. Other than a couple of mushrooms on AVFTT. And Doris Critchley.

We were quite excited when we signed Tony Kellow.

I'm not an expert on the player having not seen him play week in week out, but given his career I'd say the ability and potential to play at a higher level. If we need a new lcb there must be better options.

There was a groundswell of demand to sign Ollie Norburn, and I see him as a similar option in a different position. He's proved to us all that league 1 is his level, and I suspect that would be the case with Hartridge should we get him. To progress we need something extra.

More Ollie Watkins than Ollie Norburn, CV wise.

It’s about 4 months too early for us. We don’t start our shopping until at least July.
