All gone quiet on the new shirt front!!!

Who's in charge of this? Get it sorted. The club will be losing money as adults and kids will want shirts for their far flung holidays abroad!!!
And the last time out shirts came out early was????
Never- lucky to have them for first game of the season and that's sometimes the away kit!

Last year they were announced towards the end of June. Puma have a shed load of kits to get out so a bit of patience needed. Hardly any EFL clubs have new kits sorted yet

Surely with common sense new shirts should be out in June for the summer!
Waiting till autumn is crazy.
Shirts sell far better in the summer!
Obvious OG every year!

Peterborough do and they’re in the same league with the same manufacturer

I can hardly see the rush, we’re in league one, I can’t imagine a long line of fans outside the club shop clambering to get a shirt with some shite company emblazoned on the front of it, hopefully I’m wrong but it’s probably going to be a good shirt with a bad sponsor

As with last year.
Major manufacturers focus on production of the ‘big’ clubs as they make the money.
Some smaller clubs get the shirts early from template stock that’s ready to go year round.
Clubs that require custom kits or specific colours (both apply to Blackpool last year and at least one will every year) end up waiting in the queue.
We get the best deal and a better shirt from Puma by being patient.

And could you please outline your definition of 'a bad sponsor'. Would it be one with a reputation for questionable work ethics? One with a dubious record for 'financial irregularities'? Or, perhaps, one which is based in Preston?

For me we should ALWAYS have a white top and tangerine shorts option.
It may be psychological but apart from looking great many of our most impressive performances over the years have been in that kit.

The sponsor is Utilita

Here are few of the Puma 23/24 shirts that have been released already. The Gladbach shirt with collar is probably my favourite.View attachment 15487View attachment 15488View attachment 15489
Puma pay these clubs a lot more money to sponsor them so they get much more personalised, higher quality designs. We won't see anything like these. When Plymouth/ Peterborough/ Barnsley announce their new Puma shirts before us we'll probably have a good idea of what ours is going to look like.

I'm pretty sure our home shirt last season was unique to Blackpool. As was our 3rd strip with a tangerine wave.

That didn’t quite pan out that way last year tbf. I expect we’ll get a relatively standard home and away kit with a more unique third to follow in the autumn. I’m a big fan of the PSV kit shown above and would be happy to see a white version of that with tangerine and navy/black trim for the away kit.

Our shirt this season was identical to Plymouth's just a different colour scheme and faded shapes. The collar and ends of the sleeves are the exactly same

Just a thought but might Utilita have had the option to terminate the two year deal if we were relegated?

In which case we might be negotiating with new sponsors? Hence the delay?

Are grown men really bothered about when the new kit is out

Ffs
Well I consider myself a grown man (I'm 60, so, I should perhaps have said, 'old man'!), and, I have to say, personally speaking, I always find myself in a slight state of apprehension/agitation if the promised date of the arrival of the new shirt(s) passes and yet there is no sign of the new kit having been delivered. So, yes, if I'm anything to go by, albeit speaking as an individual with slightly 'arrested development', the whole question of needing to know the release date for the new shirt is one which does have tendency to cause me a certain level of stress. Sorry, Phil...

It’s not even close to the same template. Our kits with Puma are now bespoke - hence why it takes longer.
It's literally the exact same base shirt with a variation on the pattern and colours. Look at the collar and ends of the sleeves, they're the same. Our new shirt will likely have the same collar and sleeves as either the Plymouth, Barnsley, or Peterborough shirt again this year as well just different colours. It takes longer for us because we're very far down in Puma's priorities and don't sell a lot of shirts.

I don't think any sponsor could rival some of the shockers we ended up with in the 90's and 00's!!

I'm not really too bothered when it comes out but I always buy one of them. I don't really get the if your an adult over whatever age you shouldn't be wearing a football top, it's always been an odd argument to me. It's just someone's opinion and tbf I'll wear what I want to wear. It could be said the stone island brigade or to be more precise the fake stoney brigade look pathetic but again that's just an opinion too. Who cares, wear what the fcuk you want to wear.

Yes they are because our team/ fans wear it all season and it's nice to look nice. Also if it looks good it will generate more money for the club. Bore off you moaning **

I don't know how to break this to you South Shore and it possibly makes me a bigger cnut than Phil but Santa Claus is not real.

Same shirt but different pattern and colour???? That’s a different shirt then mate lol

😂 still the same base shirt yeh. You wouldn't find one of the higher priority teams like city or dortmund with the exact same collar and sleeves just a different design. This really isn't hard to understand.

Example: a company sells the same 1 t-shirt to people for stag do's but the customer can choose what to print on it.

Same t-shirt ... different design on it.

You just know with Blackpool on one day we'll get fixtures, new signings, Chairman interviews, shirt launch and a date for the work to start on the East Stand and training ground!!
