Am I Bothered.

I'll be more bothered if we lose on Sunday, however it's not good is it.

Too many weak links atm and time for some to step up or they'll be gone in Jan, tbh some will anyway.

Bolton had a season or two where they basically only had their youth team on contracts . Got hammered a plenty and relegated. The fans tho could see the players were busting a gut.. because , for a fair few of them, it was their big chance at their club ...and it mattered.
My point being that for many of ours it looks like an easy pay check because there's no one to lose their place too.
Bolton ended up with a young , battle hardened core of their team ...something to build on. We have nowt to build on currently

Not sure who will take any of this bunch of soft arses off our hands. Question to be asked is how did we end up with this lot Mr Downes?
Not sure what can be done, some loans returned, maybe some contracts cancelled by mutual consent if they're told they won't be playing.

However when we get the likes of Imray, Bowler, Morgan, Ennis, Taylor back, we'll be better and hopefully have more finishing and creative ability anyway.

That's half an outfield team, can make a big difference and if we add to that also in a few key areas.

No. Mickey Mouse trophy and with a threadbare squad games we could do without.
Tend to agree with this. Everyone knows that when Evo took over that he was taking over a complete shit show. We had that initial bounce which let’s be honest was quite extraordinary for us to get a result v Cardiff.

We’ve reverted to type somewhat in the last few games but it’s of no surprise and the blame is not on Evo in any way shape or form. Some of the same players have been playing more games than you would expect and are tiring with nobody else to replace them, Fletch and Bloxham for example. We’ve had no options really to freshen it up but to be fair I’ve no idea why Butterworth wasn’t in the squad for the last couple of games. Overall Evo’s hands have been tied behind his back and it’s clear some of the players are not quite up to it and are merely squad type players. Casey and Honeyman being rested didn’t help our cause last night but with the amount of games on the horizon it was needs must. We had no midfield last night until Brown came on and this is what Evo is working with, it must have been a difficult decision only having Evans as the midfield until Brown came on.

We’ve got key players out still which are close to a return so that will be a boost and will be like a bunch of new signings, plus the window in which we can bolster the squad with a couple of loan signings.

We’re going through it right now and it’s painful to see us lose the way we did against Reading and Harrogate but we’ve got to back Evo and the team, better days are around the corner.

What won’t help is if right now, we as fans make the situation worse than it is and make the atmosphere toxic.

You only need to use your brain to realise Evo has been dealt a shit hand and recruitment at the beginning of the season simply wasn’t good enough.

Yep starting to get worried not for going out of this competition but we seriously are starting to look like we're getting relegated.

That was a strong side EVO sent out to get improvements after Saturday's defeat and it didn't work.

One home game with Rotherham and Wigan away either side where we rarely win at before Christmas it ain't looking good.

Not been on, in a while, but lads - what is going on? Surely budget wise you're nowhere near where you are? What's Evatts games been like so far? I have super fond memories of Evatt ofc... Haha.

Probably similar to that season you just about stayed up. Decent squad on paper with a high budget but cannot get anything going.

That was one of the strongest teams that we could have put out tonight though……. so yes I’m worried
Perm any 11 from the current sqaud, the performances will be the same.
Who brought these players to the club.
We have let better players leave, than what’s coming through the door.

Not sure Bruce did. Do you remember the interview where he was asked if anyone else was coming in before the end of the transfer window and he didn’t know?
That maybe that they were after someone ,but were not sure if they were going to get them. Bruce would never have become our manager if he did not get the final say on who we bring in. To a certain extent his name was bigger than our club and he never needed the money .

Probably had a say but generally these days the recruitment suggest 3/4 players for each position so the manager picks from a short list.

The problem now is that we need a convincing win on Sunday to calm the doom and gloom mongers but even then some people will say they are only a non-league side.

If Evo is so wedded to 3-5-2 he needs to scrap it until his own personnel are in the building. In the meantime, I'm sure such an innovative coach as he could adapt to 4-3-3 - a formation more suited to the players he is for the time being stuck with.

I can't help thinking the people you're making reference to there, ET, are being a little unfair.

Because, contrary to how it might appear, a quick glance at the League tables reveals how BFC still retain (just!) their Division One status, and, despite a number of desparately disappointing performances this season, to be labelling them as 'only a non-league side', is: (a) factually incorrect; and, (b) an appalling slur on our club...
