Where's best to head for walks, wanders etc? Left or right over the bridge?

Only ever been to Beaumaris, then onto Holyhead.

TIA.

Newborough forest beach and out onto the island
This, great view of the Rivals looking bigger than they are as well.

There's loads of good beaches on Anglesey, there's a good walk past South Stack and up Holyhead Mountain (not a mountain) from Holyhead. It's a lovely island, Beaumaris is nice, but pretty flat and better walks are available over the bridge. We went there bloody tons as kids.

Point Lynas also good as is Red Wharf Bay. Loads of choices - South Stack is amongst the best though IMO. Visit the seabird colonies and there is a good caff 👍

Lived in Anglesey for years.

My favourite walks are.

Cemaes Bay to Point Lynas- As good as Cornwall for the ascent and descent of Cliffs

Church Bay to Cemaes Bay. Another lovely walk with hidden coves Ynys Fydlyn and you can combine the two if feeling fit.

Holyhead to Rhoscolyn- Start at the Country Park and climb Holyhead Mountain then on to South Stack.

Llandwyn Island and the walk between the bridges are not to be missed.

Red Wharf Bay to Pilots Cove taking in Benllech and Moelfre.

There is a lovely little beach with a walk to a burial cairn west of Bryngwran which I used to love visiting. The picture won't attach unfortunately but you can find the beach at Porth Trecastell and the burial cairn at Barclodiad y Gawres. One of my favourite places on Anglesey.
