Got to feel sorry for Bamber Bridge. No FA Cup revenue now this season which is a lifeline for most clubs, no gate money, no club money and effectively asking the fans to keep contributing to prop the club up. Does make you wonder how many will fold and the land used to build houses.

"This morning, the club received the news that one of our first team playing squad has received a positive Covid-19 result from a test which was taken on 20 September 2020. In line with government and FA guidance all football activity will now be ceased at the club for the next 14 days. This includes all training and competitive matches. In line with FA requirements the club have also now withdrawn from this year’s FA cup."

I don't know what the FA requirements state so I'm speaking off the cuff here but under the circs, couldn't there be more flexibility around when FA Cup fixtures are completed?

Not sure they would sell the land for houses, its a pig to get into at the best of times.

I was told a couple of weeks ago that they’re not in that bad of a place financially so to suggest it will be sold off is dramatic.

Its not ideal withdrawing from the FA but they had other stuff going on besides their first team that brings in money so they’ll be fine.
