I think 12,000 plus would be a great average when you throw into the mix lots of mid week games and the fact we could well find ourselves in the bottom half of the table given how newly promoted teams usually fair.
8k is a good effort after a pandemic...I'm sure they'll be plenty of fans who will POTG aswell.I don't get why people are banging on about how great the numbers are
8k is ok nothing more
Lets not forget we are back in the championship, we are Oyston free and people have been starved of live football for over a year
There is a massive feel good factor surrounding the club
I was hoping for 10k
I think the price increases have put people off ..
I looked at those averages and wondered if they are slightly wrong as it says 23 games, didn’t that season get cut short with the last few games so maybe only 20 home games were played? I do think we will average around 12000 with away fans being allowed in, wonder how much of the East we will give away fans?I have attached a link to average attendances for the Championship 2019/20 and we should be just under halfway down the table, which I think is fantastic. It's all about the atmosphere and if we can be looking at 14000+ then Bloomfield Road is going to be rocking.
Average attendance 2019/20
I’m going for Approx 12k average this season too Andy…..anymore is a bonus.I looked at those averages and wondered if they are slightly wrong as it says 23 games, didn’t that season get cut short with the last few games so maybe only 20 home games were played? Absolutely, 8500 good for us IMO.And they are established championship club from a bigger city population
I'd have a lot more respect for you if you just admitted that this is all just about your wallet. You want a Championship club, and you have boundless ambition, just as long as someone else pays for it all.I don't get why people are banging on about how great the numbers are

What on earth are you on about?I'd have a lot more respect for you if you just admitted that this is all just about your wallet. You want a Championship club, and you have boundless ambition, just as long as someone else pays for it all.
You are aware of the global pandemic that’s scared the shite out of a lot of people ? I would suggest quite a few won5 come back as they will be hiding behind the sofa watching the results.I don't get why people are banging on about how great the numbers are

I think 8k is quite good in these times when you think the amount of away fans coming for their weekend in Blackpool. We will do alright.8k is a good effort after a pandemic...I'm sure they'll be plenty of fans who will POTG aswell.

has anyone got our average attendances history ?
Bollux to the pandemic...You are aware of the global pandemic that’s scared the shite out of a lot of people ? I would suggest quite a few won5 come back as they will be hiding behind the sofa watching the results.
We should be packing the ground out with home fans now the Oystons have gone, not relying on away fans ...I think 8k is quite good in these times when you think the amount of away fans coming for their weekend in Blackpool. We will do alright.

Thanks so this season will be in the top 10 highest counting the seasons since 1978
I agree but you only have to read this site to take a section of society views on the current situation with the pandemic.Bollux to the pandemic...
Time to crack on
Agreed, however there’s no hiding the fact some may disagree and decide to stay at home.Bollux to the pandemic...

I used to hate it back in the 80s and 90s when we used to give away fans 4k tickets

Brilliant post. Get Ewan McGregor voicing your second and third paragraphs along with a BFC montage and some stirring music…job doneIt’s always got to be about how do you encourage the IPhone generation to switch off FIFA football on their X box, leave their bedrooms, and enjoy everything a live match brings?
Forget win, lose or draw. Forget Premier league or signing Mbappe - just have a laugh, sing and chant, rant at players and jump around with mates and new mates down at the footy. Experience that every 2 weeks - it’s totally different to anything else you are doing at school, college or work.
It’s not the same as a house party, watching a film or going to the gym. Going to the footy is unique, and every 2 weeks you can go to a live match and feel everything from anger to boredom to elation and with little control of when that’s going to occur. Have a bit of that in your lives. You cannot get that at home watching it on the TV, it’s just not the same at all….
Sell that sizzling sausage to the teens and you aren’t worrying about if we can fill the ground.
Agreed, however there’s no hiding the fact some may disagree and decide to stay at home.
How many on here are going to be POTG and how many matches in the season. Could be a fair few that are happy to pay weekly and attend All games, just due the civid situation.
Don't forget you can order and print your tickets off in the comfort of your own home none of that nonsense of queuing at the ticket office before a game.I can't attend many games so POTG will be the way I watch BFC next season.
Cheers Pool, thanks for the tipDon't forget you can order and print your tickets off in the comfort of your own home none of that nonsense of queuing at the ticket office before a game.
When is that mates ??I’m just looking forward to collecting my season ticket. I’ll be there, do or die.
Not sure, paid for my ticket and was told I’ll be informed around middle of this month when I can collect it.When is that mates ??
That's the muckers, all mouth.Just checked the planner and noticed a fair few have been released from Block A
I seem to think it was about that & as our capacity was very low I wondered if we'd suffer lockouts, so I bought season tickets for the first time, having also got a new job which allowed it to be viable. 7,500 in the current uncertain climate is ok TBH. If we average 12,000 I'll be pleasantly surprised, unless we exceed expectations.I think we sold 5-5.5k in our first season back in the second tier in 2007-8?? You could say people are desperate to get back but football is habit forming and when people get out of the habit you have a job to win them back. In that respect our promotion was a godsend in terms of stimulating interest and it will be interesting to see what crowds other clubs get. Undoubtedly, the euros won't do any harm to attendances.
Oyston alertThat's the muckers, all mouth.
Again
You’ve cheered me up no endCan’t see many more ST being sold now unfortunately due to the early bird deal being finished & the rise in figures infected with this pandemic, I’d brainwashed myself into believing all would be back to normal after Monday for some daft reason, club shop shut for tickets today I would assume due to the staff contracting the virus, cases up in general, god knows what’s going to happen when we’re all mixing again, probably only home fans allowed in stadiums at best, how can we arrange away days /travel/ accommodation etc with all the uncertainty, looks to me like herd immunity is the only way forward, well I’m a bundle of fun aren’t I !!
Sorry T !! Didn’t think anyone would be still up at this time so I thought I’d express my miserable opinion, now I feel bad! You’ve cheered me up no end
I don't think you realise how many nocturnals there are, Graham.Sorry T !! Didn’t think anyone would be still up at this time so I thought I’d express my miserable opinion, now I feel bad!
Anyway get yourself to bed it’ll possibly all be ok...,ish
Keep quiet or I'll have the spelling police on you.Get to sleep your keeping me awake with all your talking
Yeah saw that today, not sure whats going on there, did the club hold some back there? Its only there though so seems weird. Been a weird one to count this season around. Lots of unexplained seatsJust checked the planner and noticed a fair few have been released from Block A
