I mean they got promoted playing very good football. And we've taken 3 out of their top 5/6 players potentially. Grant would be the experience we lost with Spearing.
 
If for example one of Spurs, Liverpool, Chelsea etc were to purchase Leeds’ 3 best players or sign Benrahma, Mitrovic and even Butland over the summer you’d consider it to be fairly astute business - and that’s not taking into account the much greater finances available, lure of the Premiership, European football and the fact they can cherrypick from anywhere in the world.
However you look at it taking 3 key players from the champions of the division below who played slick attacking football is VERY good business. If we took the 3 key players from a divisional rival come January it would be unheard of.

Saw a rumour going round about us and Rossiter, although if it’s not him maybe Rafferty of Preston or Rothwell of Blackburn? (Although unlikely)
 
Jordan Rossiter has agreed a deal with The Cods according to Football Insider.

Not too disgruntled assuming we were in for him......he has a fitness record that makes Jimmy Ryan look like a regular starter
 
Seems the link to Swindon players isn't over with Kaiyne Woolery also rumoured to be of interest. Both him and Grant are enjoying a shopping trip to the Trafford Centre with Yates and Anderson which has sent Swindon fans even closer to the edge of meltdown.

Don’t know anything about him, but his stats according to Wikipedia aren’t that great.

PS It looks like his record needs updating though. Nothing on last season?

PPS 38 games, 2 goals, 8 assists last season. Not great for a striker, but a lot of game time.

PPS 38 games, 2 goals, 8 assists last season. Not great for a striker, but a lot of game time.

Wikipedia isn’t great for football stats, try looking at transfermarkt instead. Also, I think he’s played mostly on the right wing for a few seasons.

He looks ok and has some championship experience; I wouldn’t be amazed with the signing by any means, but there’s certainly worse...

We were linked with him in January. A Swindon fan I met around that time told me, “he flatters to deceive, our best players actually Anderson”. Did have a little chuckle to myself when we signed him.

I’ve heard a few whispers about Championship level players we re after.
 
Swindon fans are happy now they have signed Yayiseimi from Norwich. Apparently they aren't fussed about Anderson, Yates and Grant as they are all rubbish and wouldn't have made the step-up to L1. 😆

Is it me but Rothwell seems to be the kiss of death on whoever he signs for. Had a couple of decent games for Everton & been shite ever since. Can't back that statement up with any facts or stats just the mention of his name seems to indicate an overpaid ponce with a artistic agent 🙄
 
Obviously a talent Rodwell but certainly has something to prove given his reputation portrayed on Sunderland till I die - very good program of anyone hasn’t watched it.

hasn’t done anything to us per se but doubt he’s the type of personality critch would want around ? Plus I highly doubt we will reach his wage demands.

If we did pull it off though - I’d certainly be excited to see him play. Fits a position we need drastically.

just hope he’s reflected on his choices and wants to play football now
 
Hertford, you should entertain us with cryptic clues. It is a long time since that ITK poster used to do that on here. Far better than the number plates in the car park or taxis at the airport methods😀

Rodwell was a really talented kid at Everton, followed the money going to City which ruined him, then ended up on a massive contract at a complete car crash of a club in Sunderland. Hasn't he been at Sheffield United and getting a bit of game time towards the end of the season? I'd be stunned if we signed him, although far from past it at 29 and got a lot to prove.

He played an hour in a cup tie against Fylde and got 15 minutes in the Prem for them. He’s hardly had a sniff even during his time at Blackburn.

Bit of a strange one as he obviously has a lot of talent but I don’t think he’s been in love with the game since mid way through his City career.

Not going to definitely happen just heard we’d made enquires.
 
JR I thought we where competing with Man United for James Rodriguez signing from Madrid for one second then I woke up.
