A work of fiction deserves a great fictional character, so how about a big bustling centre forward who can put himself about a bit, certainly a big target man and has been at the top of his game for years. JR can only be Jack - No Name - Reacher!
 
The question you have to ask yourself is at 33 what sort of a contract would tempt him to move his life 200 miles north? London lad who during his career hasn't come further North than Crewe!

I should have also added, if his head and attitude are right. Having slept on it, even if it were true, I'd hope we'd avoid it as he comes with all the Sunderland baggage.

I think Keshi Anderson was having a joke about Grant coming on their recent trip to the Trafford Centre, so I doubt Grant is coming.

According to stfc gaffer, - grant apologised about the keshi vid and is expected back preseason training on Thursday.... still think he may go to Blackpool though.
