Just about to board a flight with MrsOne to Penang in Malaysia.

You’ll put on a stone due to the gorgeous street food.

Red Garden is a great food court. Gurney Drive is famous but looked dirty and has a bit of a reputation as a tourist trap.

Atmosphere around the old quarter is keep your eyes peeled for the graffiti art.

Good coffee everywhere.

Take the tram up to the hill for good views and cool air ... but don’t do it at the weekend or you’ll be queuing for hours.

... also ... seems this might be an *interesting* week in Malaysia. Stay away from protests/demonstrations etc. Police tend to be very liberal with the tear gas, rubber bullets etc. Keep an eye on the news.

Went to Red Garden on our first night and enjoyed it, went over to Gurney Drive and it was ok but preffered the other one.

The political situation is spretty calm to be fair, seems like they have sorted it - for now anyway!!
