Anyone had a holiday?

Not sure I am going to get down that far - starting in Benson just south of Oxford
Only spending 5 days on the boat itself ( with overnighters in Oxford and somewhere else either side ) so I reckon Windsor will be our limit

Need any suggestions for Oxford TAM let me know.

Supposed to be going to Majorca in 4 weeks time. Booked it back in January before any of this kicked off. Flights will be going (Ryanair will fly even if the plane is on fire) and the hotel is open so it looks like it will go ahead and I can’t afford to lose the money we paid for it. Whether it will be any kind of holiday remains to be seen.

Did a day trip to Belgium today to see Bruges's mum in err, Bruges. Surprisingly busy with zero social distancing and masks in all shops. 1 in 200 wearing masks in the street. Had to fill in forms to get into France ( we were on Eurotunnel) and to get back to the UK. Neither were checked. Off to Gran Canaris Saturday
Herts, we are going via Tunnel in early Sept. Where do you do the forms?
Driving down to Dordogne with a 1 night stray on the way, probably Le mans. Done this run many times.

Off to France in August, slow drive down with a couple of overnight stops then pick up my wife's mum in Toulouse and off to the Med for a week in a villa with family. The plan is to keep away from the crowds, keep washing the hands and have fun.

Dave, they are linked on the Eurotunnel site. There is a one page form "required" to get into France where you need to declare you have no symptoms. The French border guy didn't ask for it but I'd do it anyway. The other is an on line form you have to complete for your return to the UK. However, you cannot do this until within 48 hours of you getting back. Its fairly detailed and you need to print a copy and have it handy at the UK border control. Again, in our case, they never checked it. Things may change come September but keep an eye on the Eurotunnel website

Had several day trips to the Lakes and Dales in the last 2 months (hiking or mountain biking). Only overnight though was camping in Kettlewell last week. Got another camping trip (Borrowdale) planned for 2 weeks time. Again, just the one midweek night...
And how could I forget, got an overnight trip to a mate's in Preston ( 🤪) this coming Wednesday - for the Burnley Wolves game! He's a massive Clarets fan so I'll try not to rub it in when we stuff them 5-0 away😂😂😂

Grizedale Pike, Hobcarton Crag and on to Hopegill Head descending back past Force Crag mine then back to Braithwaite on Friday. 😢

Just had an email from easyJet telling me they have reduced prices by 30% to certain destinations. Looked at flights to Budapest for 4 of us and only £220 return in middle August but she who must be obeyed is still not budging!!

After further investigation she who must be obeyed is wise in not budging as it would appear the Hungarians are not keen in welcoming us and we would be taken to a government facility for 2 weeks if we cannot provide two negative tests for COVID on arrival!

Went to Barcelona for a mate's Stag Do - originally 32 of us - but had to be reduced to just 6 for obvious reasons. Flight was weird - so eerily quiet and Barcelona was like most places - just not it's usual vibrant self. The sun still shone but was a much quieter affair than was planned.

Just booked a week in a cottage in mid-Wales for early September. Might look to go abroad in October but will leave decision to last minute.

Now looking at a few days on the Pembrokeshire Coastal Path in September
Anyone done that ?
Thinking of basing ourselves in Fishguard and walking the 68m section between St David's and St Dogmaels
Anyone here been down that way ?

Just booked Alicante mid September for 5 nights. Flights and accommodation cheap as chips (although Ryanairs baggage policy is outrageous)
