Just had a look at the table, as haven't probably looked at it since the end of the year, and it is depressing just how far we have fallen away. 3 points today (providing Lincoln don't pick up a point) will take us to the heady heights of 14th place. I remember looking a few weeks ago at the 'Live table' when we were playing Sunderland and we were 1-0 up and we were 3rd in the table. It is depressing just how quickly this season has gone downhill (can't remember such a change in fortune for years).
However, if we look at this positively, if we can just sneak a win today and then beat Southend next week (and I think Larry will be in deep trouble if we don't beat arguably the worst team in the league at home) then we'd be on 40 points, have games in hand on a few, and then the next few games all would look winnable.
We have six games in February and with this new squad, let's see where it can take us. However, we have to break this circle of draws and defeats and if Larry doesn't want the season to end this month, then today is a chance to show why we brought all these new players in.
