Used to be on the corner of Caunce Street and Cookson Street. Its waste land now and knocked down years ago. Used to go in it a lot in the late 60's had a big juke box and counter at one end. Used to say "I'll see you in the Talk on Saturday" Happy days !!

If I remember rightly , my old dear used to work there, as it was owned by her best friend!

Yep being an old git I remember it well, we used to go to there and the Beehive on Dickson Rd in the early seventies.
Aah The Beehive, popular meeting place for one and all. Used to meet there at 9.00 am Sunday morning to have our team meeting (LOL) and pre match meal before we turned out for McKennys in the Sunday Alliance....most of us not having got home until 3.00 am from the night out before.

Yes I used to go in there as well and the coffee house was around the corner as well on church street across from park road. I used to have a lambretta with all the mirrors on heady days indeed.

You'll know Nipper, Rimmo, Curt, Harper, Stu Marsh, Dave Gold, Jimmy Torrance and Gaz Hargreaves then 🤔

Oh yes indeed. Thinking back we also had Schoey (Pete Schofield), Nick The Greek, Billy McKenny, Dave Howell, Big Arch (Paul Andrews) and others. I was the keeper and was known as Van.

Yes, he was a real character. We got to one cup final at Mechanics ground and while we we warming up before kick off he appeared with a tray of Brandy’s for us all a a livener. We lost.
I remember that, Belle Vue beat you and you 'parried' a few shots 😜 You then went on to play for Mammas.
