Anyone willing to accept we’re down ???

No

We have one transfer window to buy some physically capable players.
IE will know exactly what we need. WE desperately need players who can run for 90 mins rather than 20.

What a depressing thread! Not even into Jan.
But seriously I struggle to see how things can get better unfortunately I would be stunned if we stay up.

Every single summer signing has been atrocious except for Ennis. It’s like we just went trigger happy and signed anyone and anything without any consideration to how they play, their attitude etc.

Downes and Winter need to go now. Today. Anything other than that is unacceptable and will then mean that Sadler will have to shoulder responsibility for not sacking them both sooner. We’re 100% nailed on for relegation.

We cant string a few passes together never mind a few wins . Ill be honest doesn't look like we have one player with the minerals for a scrap.
I want Evatt to be honest and say how awful that was, his starting line up was wrong.

Unfortunately Sadler doesnt seem to have anyone to give him good advice. Downes is probably advising him but hes definitely badly at fault on recruitment. Im not optimistic about staying up. Weve played poorly the last 3 games. Very hard for Evatt but not sure if hes the right man for the job.

We need some players who can pass to another player, that helps, who can take a chance when it comes and not blast over every time.

Nobody can predict the future. We might stay up, and we might go down.
We've no confidence & a mediocre squad (at best).
Gotta hope returning players and a few new faces will turn things around.
We'd be better off playing a few of our Academy lads instead of the likes of CJ, Hansson, Ihiekwe, and Coulson.

He'll say how bad it was at times but can't say how poor the players are, he has no choice but to try and give them confidence.

Whatever manager and whatever style it would still come back to the players and their deficiencies.

Saying that 1st half until they scored we were the better side without being amazing, but our shooting is just atrocious.

How many times do we score a goal that's not expected, not much this season. Most chances we do make are wasted with shots over the top leaning back, which is a sin, a tame effort, player off balance etc.

After seeing that garbage i would have to say .. 50.50 . it certainly isnt over but we need such a massive improvement then it really is in the balance.. Worse i have seen in a long time.. Never looked like scoring.. Plainly the EVO lution has ground tp a complete halt..

28 games left - no where near relegated -

This season now has to be about finishing above the bottom 4 - and rebuilding . Think we will see some out and some in in January .
When ennis and Imray are back that’s massive for us .

Not yet, but it’s going to be a long season and a scrap. We’ll no doubt have a couple or so wins on the run and optimism will rise, but other teams will have the same. Roller coaster.

Totally agree ,

Totally agree with most of that, however if Evatt questions/ challenges them and puts them to the sword he'll see who wants to be here or is just here for the money. Will help him in January window too,
4th highest wage bill in this league for this shower i expect a few to leave .

I'm willing to accept we are going down if we have to rely on that team all season. Thankfully we have 3 or 4 good players to return and will obviously need some good business in January. If Evatt is backed, we should be OK.

Right now he needs to keep people onside, we have no choice. Of course he can give some home truths but has to bring people along with him.

These are not his players, I think we all know what he'll think of many in his head, you can see it spill out in his frustrations tbh, when simple passes are given away, when chances are wasted etc.

We just have to now try and put another mini run of results together and keep picking up points until Jan and also until a few better attacking players are back.

However, it'll still be the same players who have failed a lot, many of those will still be involved...

The midfield experiment didn't work again, just like last time these three started together. It looks like it should do but somehow we look like the middle is empty - worse than 4-4-2.

He's going to have to stop the 1-2-2 midfield / forward if these players can deliver it. Evans actually started really well and had a decent first half but Brown and Honeyman were just chasing shadows. Seemed to work better against Cardiff when it was a more balanced 2-1-2 with Bowler in that free role.

I'm wondering if it might work so much better as a 4-2-1-3? Bloxham just doesn't seem suited to a central role either.

Honestly I don't know as however we seem to line up the players just aren't delivering. Evatt tries different things even during the game and is passionate, but they're simply not following his instructions. You saw him going mad at the players so many times, for either hoofing it when a pass was on or turning back when a forward ground pass was on.

My only bright note was Fletcher who time and time again picked the ball up and progressed us. If he was the man in the free role and not having to play as a 9 we'd be more effective, but Downes didn't bother to sign one to cover Ennis or a target man.

Bowler has done sod all since his return.
Morgan is an ok player.
Ennis started 6 games this season and we lost 5 of them.
I admire your optimism.

It makes me sad thinking about it.
God help us when we play a non league side live on tv . The embarrassing season that just keeps giving.

I'm in the mind set of we are down so staying up will be a celeabration come May.

If the likes of Ihiewke and Hannson are the best we can put onto the field then we are in a world of touble with the former being one of the worst to put the shirt on.

It might only be November, and yes..... we have got players out who can / will / maybe inject some 'va va voom', and we haven't 'as yet' been cut adrift from the rest of the league.... 'yet", but each game we fail to come away with so much as a point, that makes our league 1 status that little bit more
unstable, and if the teams above us continue to put daylight between them and us, then the January window will have come and gone, leaving us flailing about like a ,'one legged man at an @rse kicking contest...!'

For the very first time this season I thought we might go down.
Powderpuff performance

NB I genuinely believed we had assembled a promotion side in August shows how wrong you can get it
Me too. Then when I saw Ihackaway in action I started wondering whether we were deliberately looking to get relegated

For the first time this season I’ll say it.

After today we are doomed.

Fylde cost derby next season to look forward to I suppose.

I still don't think we'll be relegated regardless of that horrific performance today. There's still a lot of games to go and hopefully we'll improve 2nd half of the season after some injury returns and maybe a couple of additions in Jan. However I can't see anything much better than 18th.

We are certainly in a real relegation battle. Today's performancs was little different from SB's dross. Pass it across the back and hoof it up.

I put this on after we got battered by Exeter the second game in. The warning signs were there at the start of the season, anyone watching that wasn't delusional could see that the players we had signed weren't as good as they were hyped up to be. I hope I end up being wrong but next years season ticket is looking likely to be paid for courtesy of Sadlers mismanagement of this club.

No, not yet, just need to keep ticking over and go on another mini run.

Jan is then a chance for a manger who likes...proper footballers to affect his squad for the 1st time and then still half a season left.
